It's because the population is so low that it can't find suitable players to match with and against at the tike of your starting a search. If it did that, matches would probably take 5-15 minutes to load.

How did blue team and osiris return to Sanghelios from Genesis so quickly in just a pelican? Did Exuberant Witness make a slipspace bubble for them? Can pelicans even travel through slipspace? Did they fly the pelican into the cryptum and then have EW transport it?

This is a map where you absolutely need to use the plasma pistol.
The M6D Pistol straight up breaks Hang Em High, and this is coming from somebody that defends it as a starting Weapon most of the time.

The field is too open and exposed. There's no sense in outing yourself as you make a dart for Sniper if you already essentially have one in your pocket.

Good, I don't want to see elites boosting and ground pounding and sliding, that doesn't fit them at all.

They would need a completely different set of abilities. But that would be very hard to balance and everyone would get buttmad.

And of course, we would be playing as the ugly bulky 343 variants which are tiwce as big as Spartan 4's, so they'd need to be extremely hunched over like the H2A ones which makes them look even sillier.

Then even ignoring all that, 343 wouldn't add them simply because of the REQ system. They'd have to make a comparable amount of armors for them, re-do all the assassinations entirely to make them compatible with the elites, etc or else people who play as elites will be less likely to buy packs. And 343 really wants people to buy packs.

All in all, a shitty retarded situation that's mostly 343's fault.

Face it 343 Halo is shit. Halo 5's Multiplayer is casual trash and the most unforgivable part is they tried to rank everything in Arena when the game has no competitive settings, or even good skill matching to begin with.
Worst FFA, Assault, and CTF in the entire series hands down, tied with Halo 4 for the worst Team Slayer, and just ahead of Reach with Infection if only because of the refresh.
Custom games are also dead because people made so many shitty niche modes just for Halo 5 instead or remaking good ones. Not even because custom games settings were broken for so long and Forge and file browser were absent at launch.
Even things Halo 5 doesn't completely blow dick at, still aren't as good as in other Halos. Every other Halo had a better Action Sack playlist and it didn't even take them 7 months to deliver it.
Halo 3 had better Grifball, Halo 2 and CE had better BTB, Halo 3 and CE had better CTF, Halo 3 and 4 had better Infection, Reach and Halo 2 had better Assault. Can't compare Oddball, Juggernaut, or VIP because it doesn't have it. The game is also still missing a ton of modes and 80% of the variants for CTF, Assault, and Slayer. FFA playlist has no variants. Infection playlist has no variants. Team Slayer playlist has no variants.
Literally the only reason why people like Halo 5 is because it didn't have botched launch and your bullets actually register. (think the terrible BR registration from Halo 3, and bloom from Halo Reach)
In terms of actual gameplay Halo 5 is shit. Yeah sure it "feels" like a Halo game but that is it! It just "feels". I haven't played this game in 6 months because it just feels like 343 took the game in a direction because "something something halo is old"

Is it weird that I'm starting to miss aspects of Halo 4? The armor customization, ricochet, fun arcadey gamemodes, great UI, even the armor design and armor skins were way better in Halo 4, mostly symmetrical with no random permanent black and white paint thrown all over it.
