To any PvPers, I have an argonian NB i want to level in the sub-50 realm. Am I best off going magicka or stam for this.

Pretty much just going around doing scouting missions, collecting books and skyshards and stealthing through delves and past enemies, but I might want to attack/defend at some point. Just not sure how well magicka NB goes in PvP, and if I could be helpful during sieges.

Bomb people with proximity detonation + soul tether or some other massive damage aoe while wearing a 5 piece set of vicious death, you can take out like 10+ people at once standing on a flag

or run with proc sets (vipers sting, velidreth monster set, red mountain, widowmaker) as a stam blade and rush the shit out of people while flanking/ambushing

Shadow cloak is a great skill I would slot even as a stamina based character, do it right after you get hit by siege and the rest of the damage doesn't hit, if you are a poofter coward you can also use it to escape battles too

Abah's Landing is one of the most city-like cities in the game, it's a better Redguard city than Sentinel, the fucking capital of Hammerfell. It's also diverse as hell, with Maormer, vampires and at least one werewolf woven into the populace like it's nbd.

I mean there are people with 300cp+ that queue for dungeons as DPS then go in and light attack spam with bows.

A huge percentage of people either don't animation cancel properly, or at all, or don't even know animation cancelling exists.

There's so many casuals in this game, you'd be surprised how bad a lot of the player base is. Even with gold BIS gear, half of these retards wouldn't be able to get 10k+ DPS.

The only important animation cancel (if you can call it that) is light weaving. Easily a free 5K+ DPS, for Magicka at least. A little less for Stamina classes.

No, you can't shorten channelling attacks with animation cancelling, but you can shorten attacks with a long animation, such as wall of element. Light attack, wall of element, and half a secound later use block will make you use the attack without finishing the animation since guarding have priority over everything else.

Breath of Life prioritize the ones with the lowest health, Twilight prioritize you and in case you have full health it goes after the ones with the lowest health. I don't know how the fuck Mutagen prioritize. I think it prioritize the ones without mutagen but it seems to be broken so say you only have 2 sec left while someone else have 10, it may randomly go and cast it on the one with 10 sec left because lolrandom.

Had a good dose of ' 'smart heal' ' yesterday, I casted Rapid-Regen around 15 times (in a row) and every single cast went to me and the 2 DPS (at full health, not being attacked) instead of the tank who was at 50%

So it seems like it prioritizes health with absolutely no regard for max health or recent damage taken

What armor traits are worth keeping?
I've been farming public dungeons and world bosses for days trying to put together some really nice sets and I have a bank full of set pieces. I'm not in a trading guild, so selling the stuff is time consuming and I need to empty my bank so I have room for more.
I've been keeping the divines, infused and impen pieces. What others should I be keeping? Sturdy seems like it might be useful for tanking,

Here's the way to beat Neidir. If you keep crowding around her she won't do her charge and one shot skills. All you have to do is walk away when she does the big aoe circle, and once she's done go back to hugging her again.

That's the problem, if your DPS isn't good enough to burst her down quickly enough the winds get out of control and everyone gets stunlocked into the red circle attack

The only part of that equation that doesn't really work. Bows are useful in PvP as a ranged option when you can't (or wouldn't want to) get close, they're useful in PvE for applying the poison and arrow-rain for some DoTs, but they're not really a weapon you camp as your main damage because, well, there's not much damage there. And with basically all the stamina-based class skills being melee there's nothing you can really do to offset that.

tl;dr, take a bow for AoE/DoTs, but expect to camp your melee weapons.

I just blitzed through all of the DB storyline a week ago at level 15-20ish on my first character (stamblade) and I don't recall having to fight 5 dudes at once that early (there are some boss + adds fights later on), or if I did it wasn't even a blip on the radar. There's definitely no point in time you're fighting that many elites at once. If you had the boss's actual name instead of a title (Akatosh Sermonizers are the dudes wandering Kvatch or Anvil) or what npc took out the job I might remember. You're overlooking something that will reduce the fight's difficulty substantially.
What class are you and what weapons are you using? Are you making sure you're blocking and punishing heavy attacks and interrupting? Quite a few moves from bosses will crush you for 10k+ hp in the DB questline if you aren't either getting out of the red or interrupting.

You don't NEED them, but they offer more story content, other locations, maybe some new gear that may or may not be better than what you can get from just the base game mostly it isn't better, with the exception of Orsinium, which have the best weapons in the game, if you can actually manage to get them, so it's just something to buy if you're bored, or they appeal to you. Like if you want to join the Dark Brotherhood, obivously you'll need the DLC.

Same goes for all the other zones and quests. The recent One Tamriel update made it so it isn't a themepark anymore. You can go anywhere you want, pick up any quest you want as long as it isn't locked by a quest chain, obviously. That applies to alliance quests as well. If you make an Aldmeri Dominion character you fucking furfag, you can go to Daggerfall Covenant zones any time and do their story quests if you want. Factions matter only in Cyrodiil, the PvP zone.

no, any class can be tank, dps, or heal. but they do vary in efficiency. however, that only matters for the hardest content in the game, like veteral trials and their hardmodes. for shit like that, dragonknights will generally always be the best tanks, and templars will always be the best healers. but other classes can do that stuff too.

one thing to remember though, is the stamina and magicka pools. hybrids have been pretty much removed from the game, so if you don't want to gimp yourself, you will need to spend ALL your points in to either of those. magicka, if you mainly will use your class abilities and staves; stamina if you mainly want to use weapon abililities. for example if you want to make your sorcerer into something more like a spellblade, you will spend all your attribute points in stamina, morph what class abilities you can to use stamina, and just use a lot of weapon abilities for dps, while magicka abilities will mainly just provide buffs.

now that said, it also depends on what kind of gamer you are. if you just want an online TES game, where you fuck around, do quest, have fun, then forget everything I just said, because you can spend your points however you want and use whatever abilities you want and be fine. you just won't be able to do any challenging content, as that requires that you follow at least some rules for building an efficient character.

I recently started on Thieves Guild. The story is predictable, the added mechanics only exist in the dlc zone and are a halfassed. They should have either gone full Thief mode or introduced gtao style multi-part heists with big payoffs instead of the timed dungeon run they give you.

The zone is at least interesting and probably one of the better cities in game and it has some pretty good background characters.

You can only have so much penetration before it becomes too much. Apparently the toughest bosses in the game have ~18.5k (or something like that) resistance, with the various group debuffs applied you may have way more than what is needed for them to have no effective armor at all.

The main story is about politics and religions. The Orsimers place in the Daggerfall covenant. The resurgent of worshipping Trinimac among a people traditionally devoted to Malacath. Reclaim old artefacts to help preserve Orsimer history. So after a long time of fucking around in PvP and playing alts in Blackwater Blade my main is finally approaching CP 160 and soon it's gonna be time to get endgame gear.

The thing is, I've never bothered to update my crafted sets above green (except weapons); I just sometimes used blue or purple non-crafted sets but that's it.

How much money do you need to upgrade your sets to gold, provided you don't pay too much for the sets themselves? I have like 80k in savings + some capital in squirreled goods. Got a few Kutas and gold tempers.

Also my Enchanting, Blacksmithing, Woodworking and Clothing are all around 45. I assume I need them all at 50 even to just upgrade item quality and for max level enchantments?

Gold tempers are expensive as fuck, upgrading a single item is around 90k if you don't have the tempers
Everything below gold should be cheap as fuck as those materials come in droves if you run a lot of dungeons and deconstruct all the stuff

Making everything into gold is a scam, have all gears purple and your weapons gold and you're good to go. Only the absolute min-maxers should bother with gold gear.

160 is a big milestone because of the gear. Anything you craft or loot until then will soon be vendor trash. After 160, you put together your end game gear.
Some have said that 200 is the minimum level for vet group content. I grinded my way up to 245 last month.

So, I bought eso a while ago and want to get back into it. However, my account uses and email and username that I don't want to use anymore. When I was seeing about how to change it, I discovered that I, at some point, made an account that DOES use the email and username I want.

Do I need to buy the game again to use this account? If I contact support, would they transfer game ownership to the new account? Am I fucked?
