Just go around exploring. I went from lvl 40 to CP 160 just walking around. I would find quests and rarely do them (they are good for gear if you want that) and if you are in a hurry to level up do a Dungeon. That's a guaranteed level o two (maybe more if you can use a cauldron from the event).

ESO has handled pretty well the TES feel of "just do whatever you want, you'll level up anyway"

How big is the /vg/ guild? I bought the game a year ago but only made it to the teens before my computer died. find the .lua file for the addon that you want, open it with notepad, and you will see a bunch of addon coding shit

you can see your character names there. simply copy the block of settings that you want and paste at the end of the file, or wherever, and change the name to your alt.

the red square is all the settings for my character "Woo Zie". so if I made another character and wanted those same settings, I would just copy that whole block, insert it either at the end of the file, or after "Woo Zie" and change the name to my alt's name.

.lua files will look different for each addon, but the idea is the same.

When I started, I picked magicka nightblade as my first class and now looking back, I really think it's the best choice, or it was for me. You got ok damage, but great survivability and utility in near infinite cloak, which means you don't have to fight anything in your way unless you want to.

And in dungeons, since you will often find both shit tanks and shit heals there, as a dps you can provide not only solid sustained damage, due to piss easy resource management siphoning attacks, but also extra tankiness bolstering darkness and heals funnel health, refreshing path.

Stamina nightblade, however, is the worst for a new player.

Does anyone know if there is any difference in the quality of hireling mats between level 2 and 3 of the passive? Or is the only difference twice a day instead of once?

I'd rather they'd work at giving other healers alternatives to bridge the gap, and then give templars a bit of help in other departments.

Templar healers are 'required' for having shards, repentance, cleansing ritual and BoL; of which none can be perfectly replaced by another class. I spam shards for AoE on my magplar DD though, so i guess one of those skills can be ignored provided you have a templar in the group.

Cleansing ritual has one trait similar to Purge from support, but even efficient purge costs an immense amount of magicka, while also not giving major mending or the HoT. Cleanse gives a burst heal, but it's not fucking worth it. No one slots this skill, so buffing it wouldn't change any current builds and it also wouldn't be adding more arsenal to templars because it's redundant.

BoL maybe can be replaced with panacea, but I haven't tried it. Seems like a good low cost ulti, but it still takes an ulti slot. Twilight heal over 2 bars sucks for sorcs, NBs got nerfed for burst and I don't think DKs have anything except maybe cauterize, which currently sucks donkey dick. Maybe nicer bursts could be worked in as class skills

For shards, if they changed one of the necrotic orb morphs to give back stamina you could have a viable replacement. I've seen a grand total of one (1) healer using this ability or its morphs, and I'm pretty sure it was because he was mates with the magicka tank we had. Just make it slightly less effective than shards and templars won't bother with it.

Repentence. Nerf the heal a very little bit, wait til wrobel takes a sick day and maybe half the stam recovery and add in some magicka or something. If this is THE skill templars have, then at least other group members could work around it.

After all that they can give templars something else to do, and maybe fix their fucking passives.

If you're going DD you're always going to want to be in medium armor. Stamina builds only use heavy if they're a tank, or if they're running some cancer proc-build in PvP.

And honestly, I'd suggest DK over Templar for a stamina build. Stamplars have literally two abilities that can be stamina-morphed and basically only use one of them (Biting Jabs) in a DPS build though the spear-chucking knockback is also viable for interrupts. I'd only suggest Stamplar if you want to be defined by your weapons more than literally anything else.

And I say that as someone who started out as a Stamplar. Sorc/DK and NB all retain their flavor, but Stamplar's only templar flavor is spamming an energy spear.

Beth's stance on porting back in the days of Oblivion was "you can use our models so long as the player has to have the model already (IE, a Morrowind owner)", meaning they could not take and make the model files themselves part of the mod but could have the file paths pointed at them.

In my experience, alot of it has been luck in regards of finding people to do group stuff with. Most guilds fall either into a trader or a grouper category from what i've seen. Trading guilds are big, but dont expect them to be talkative. They exist to make money and generally not much else.

Grouper guilds tend to be talkative and friendly, but not as big. Problem with them is, alot of them fade away within a few months because people drop off like flies. Also due to the staggering amount of gold needed to buy a trader for a week, most of these "friend" guilds arent really good for making gold outside of doing group dungeons.

haha yeah I can attest to that, I used to lurk on some of the other forums and the elitism on some is astounding.

Idk about the guilds here, I mostly come for a quip or two, offer some advice and ask some opinions on Gear builds I wanna experiment with.

No clue as to your second question, they'll probably both finish normally, especially if you decide to reinvest in those skills. Respeccing just refunds your points, you'll keep any progress towards leveling a skill line.

DK pretty much has to be a fire mage as all the passives are for flame damage or the burning affliction. Sorcerers are in a similar boat with lightning damage, although someone posted a frost mage build for sorc which looked alright, not sure how effective it would be.

Templars are pretty good magicka damage dealers, and pretty much the only viable mage in PvP currently.

Don't see many magicka NBs, but they're my favourite class for magicka DD, even if my main is a templar. Invis, kind-of-recall, health sapping, all really nice for a warlock theme.

To make it competitive they'd have to introduce some sort fist weapon to give the proper damage modifiers, room for enchantments, etc. Then they'd have to figure out how they want it to interact with other weapons, like if you could offhand an actual weapon or a shield, etc. There's a lot that goes into making it a viable option instead of a joke thing like removing your weapons and punching people is now.

Seems pretty simple. Either fist weapons count as a two-handed weapon and you can't use it with other weapons, or it's a one-handed weapon and you can either dual wield it or be captain america. Only thing they'd really have to do is A) make new animations for the existing skill line attacks, and B) determine what sort of bonus fist weapons get from the skill line passives, like how maces ignore physical resistance and axes have a chance to bleed etc.
