Ward skins are pretty low tier purchases. I picked up the tomb angel ward skin back when it came out and I've never seen anything since that was so good I wanted to spend money to switch.
Just save up for the Annie skin since you can play her with basically 0 experience in either mid or bot if you ever need to. If you somehow get another 10 gems after that you could get the Vayne skin just because it's a pretty good one.
Honestly I'd get boxes before the ward skin.

You can control Shunpo to teleport kat near a target not exactly on it like the current shunpo (or other stuff like leap strike or irelia's dash.) You can tp infront, behind, at the sides and once she picks up a dagger her shunpo gets about 75-80% cd refunded so you can shunpo again and you still have your W which spawns a dagger which will also give you a spin and reset. You don't HAVE to go in on every Q and you don't need to lead with Q you can just shunpo W then from there you have much more options, you could Q and shunpo to that dagger or you could just disengage.

I'm new to this game and recently played a match where I was Sona and our ADC was Quinn. Every time that Quinn died, she would type in chat 'omg sona' and 'stand in front of me'. Whenever we were fighting together, I was told to stop kill stealing, too. At the end of the game, I was 4/0/11.
