Ramza makes Cecil almost irrelevant when Hero's Rime gets its ability buff to be a 100% stat increase. You can invest into a more offensive tank like WoL once it happens.

Is there a way to make WOFF saves compatible? I played 9 hours on the US vpk version but now I got my physical copy (eu). The dlc doesn't work on the vpk, it does on the physical though. I copied my save over but whenever I start the game it says the file is corrupt. Anything I can do or do I have to replay everything?

If it's an exploration like Lands of plenty and Giant of Babil you can easily build up LB with random encounters, ditto on boss rushes like the Great Demon. So there you go.

Anyone with a dupe 3* Cecil can just keep it to feel LB pots. 8/10 levels for a bunch of easily earned currency is literally nothing. The rest can be acquired either via TM farming or waiting for the inevitable arena/labirynth and so forth.

If you're sill dead set on seeing it as bullshit, enjoy being mediocre even in a game, or having to resort to cheap tricks/relying on friend units.

Having a capable tank with an LB that increases stats by 74%, given the upcoming trials, is nothing to sneeze at.
Plus, HR requires Ramza to do nothing for 3 turns, not a fan of the idea.

She has full break, and Cleansing Strike is like a less powerful barrage with confusion attached. So if you don't have a breaker, she works really well. the only problem ends up being that some bosses are resisting break effects now. Still, it's useful more often than not.

I do. See, regardless of how people felt about the story as a whole it was relatively well done with intrigue that is seldom shaped in a game.

But beyond that there's other things that matter too. Take presentation that works:
Such as the art by Akihiko Yoshida, the sound effects by Watanabe, the music by Iwata and Sakimoto

The story, presentation, and gameplay together made a package that was relatively unforgettable. FFTA had a lighter story overall but it was also a consistent presentation. A2's story was horseshit, and it's one of the reasons why despite having the best gameplay, it is reviled by fans and newcomers alike.

Besides. Multiplayer that isn't co-op would force them to remove the charm of making a team that's stupidly overpowered in comparison to the game. Else you'll end up with an end game like Grand Kingdoms, where you're busy steamrolling over other 1 turn kill teams with your 1 turn kill team.

Combined abilities that depend on a L mirage are far far better than the elemental attack you get for stacking up resistances in Jiant form. Most of the Very High topple abilities like Misdirection and throw are like that.

I don't know about unrealistic, but when the romance is a big part of the plot, it had better be well written. Just because RPGs rarely do it better doesn't excuse it. Plus, it was important to get right since the rest of the plot was seriously dumb. FFVIII has a lot going for it, but the overall story was a mess.

Not only are both in life or death situations, but you can see when each one properly starts to like the other if one actually pays attention.
Squall liked Rinoa pretty early on, but didn't understand his feelings and shoved it off as 'muh mission' and Rinoa obviously found him attractive from the start, but didn't grow into any real feelings until disc 2 once she properly got over Seifer being a royal dumbass and actually seeing inside Squall for real.
Was the romance perfect? No. Was it brilliantly written? No, but it's fine for what it is.
