Why do people tell Ana is hard to play and requires "skill"?

Her dart is hell easy to land, her rifle does 80 damage and feels like Hanzo bow. You can just dart any squishy, drop grenade on them and finish in two shots while they wake up.

Other than that can just sit in a back spaming attack in the mass of enemy fighting so that you either hit enemy randomly or your teammates healing them.

Occassionally press Q to give someone POTG.

Compared to mercy, lucio and zenyata is an easy mode character.

I play lot of healer, and can say that Mercy is lot harder to play than Ana, since Mercy puts itself in danger.

Lucio is not "harder", but is more hassle to play if you want to be contributing other than just afking aroundu your team - since his kit is like aiming with left hand and to utilize mobility you have to be on frontline.

Zen is healing is harder than ana since on practice reapplying the orb is actually more annoying than snapshoting/dropping grenate in general ally direction - and while his damage is greater, ana actually is more easy to aim and has "escape" with dart if someone attacks her.

The problem with Ana is if everyone spreads around and goes into corridors or flanking - with Mercy you can fly to them/heal behind corners. Zen`s orb last few seconds without seeing them. With Ana you have to either abandon them and follow someone alone or take position and hope your teammates fight in the open to recieve heals.

A lot of people fanatically play Genji not because they are weebs or autists or something.

How to balance Mei:

Icicle now has bullet drop, roughly at the level of Rivet Gun and has 20% slower fire rate (but same pre-fire delay as before)
Remove freeze ray stun and ultimate stun
Freeze ray now deals more damage and slows for more
Shooting the freeze ray on the same spot of ground for at least 1 second slowly spreads an area with the Icy status effect. Mei can walk faster on icy surfaces, but enemies who try to walk or jump while standing on an icy surface slip and take 30 damage. An area decays within 10 seconds if Mei doesn't refresh it, shrinking in size. Icy surfaces are very obvious, with a reflective glow and ambient "windy" sound effect.
Ultimate now, aside from doing light damage and a slow also applies an icy surface directly underneath it, growing over time from 50% of the radius of the ultimate to 100% at the end. Enemies who slip on this icy surface remain slipped until the end of the ultimate.
Ice Wall has 75% reduced hit points but slows enemies standing close to it
Ice Block slows enemies standing close to it

Can now double-jump like his brother
Combined damage of scatter arrow reduced to 130
Scatter arrow now scatters in mid-air after travelling 10 meters (you can still prematurely scatter it by hitting a wall), and each bouncing arrow is heat seeking with a turning curve radius of at least 5 meters
Cooldown of scatter arrow reduced down to 6 seconds

Hitboxes re-reverted back to oak logs

It feels like I do amazing when my team is actually good but play like shit when my team is bad. I try to follow the "benefit from my team's stupidity" philosophy but even though I get max charge instantly the bubble breaks and me and my team just die.

How to balance Roadhog:

Main shotgun attack removed
Canister attack re-bound to left mouse button
Hook re-bound to right mouse button
Hook now has a 50% longer aiming wind-up and the projectile now travels 30% slower on the way out. Roadhog now also does a call-out at the very start of the ability.
Shift now does a belly bump attack, leaping forward a short distance (2 meters or so) and stunning any enemy he hits for 1.5 seconds, dealing 40 damage and pushing them back to canister shatter range. 15 second cooldown.

Now Roadhog needs help from his team instead of being able to delete every single character in the game from 30 meters and is properly countered by reaper since he now has a minimum optimal engagement range. Against the 200hp characters that he can still combo to death, he needs an elaborate combo consisting of Canister->Hook->Canister->Bellybump->Canister

How to balance Mercy:

Health reduced to 150 (assuming the 1 second health regen delay buff remains)
Damage boost moved to E. Any target you are healing is also damage boosted at the same time, but for 5 seconds with a 10 second cooldown.
Staff is now wielded alongside the blaster, and the heal is rebound to right click.
Cooldown for flying to allies removed.
Ultimate now has a 1 second wind-up before the actual revive happens.
Ultimate now needs line of sight to revive, but has massive range.

Now mercy is slightly less brain dead.

How to balance Widowmaker:

Scoping in now creates a faint laser pointer beam between you and the point you're aiming at. The more you charge a shot, the more visible the beam becomes. Standing near to this laser pointer beam causes a generic "laser pointer" ambient sound to play for enemies.
Audio volume of a >75% charged shot now drowns out most other audio.
Sniper rifle reworked to charge up to 200 damage over 4 seconds, with the same 2.5x headshot multiplier
Jumping mid-hookshot to send yourself airborne causes the rifle to work like previously until you land, charging 140 damage over 1.4 seconds with no laser pointer.
Being affected by venom mine causes enemy aim to be wobbly for the duration.

Now widowmaker is a proper defense hero and hero deleter at long range, but needs a much longer setup time between kills and is obvious enough for most people to realize they need to duck behind a shield or die, while still keeping the cool air shots
