Don't think those have been in for quite a while.
They got rid of the penalty for newly SR'ing into a weapon around the time I got to SR originally.
They really eased up on a lot of things recently.

Instead of HR 999/SR 999 to G, it's just around 30 odd Keys/Urgents Though one is repelling Supremacy Black Ian, they have armor spheres to upgrade non-G armor, and SR is pretty much automatically unlocked once you hit HR 5.

I don't think it was unreasonable to believe X was just a standalone game as a love letter to the series with all of it's bells and whistles. But at the same time it also wasn't unreasonable to expect a G version of it because that's just how MH do
Even so, I didn't find X to be nearly as good as its predecessors, and XX doesn't even look like it has any real spark of its own. New style that makes the game easier than Bushido did, deviant of a monster that nobody really wants to fight a deviant of, a fucking dumbass rocket dragon. G rank deviants sounds almost worse than Apex to me. Does G rank dreadking sound fun to you?
Unlike previous G entries, I don't feel like I'll be missing anything by passing it up. See you in MH5 lads

Literally everyone with a working brain who played Generations knew that it's single biggest flaw compared to the other games we've recently had in the west was it's fucking tiny amount of content where you're bored with the game by HR130, and you got there quicker than you did previous MH games cause Generations was actually at least more fun than it was frustrating.

I hope for the next, next MH they get rid of aerial stye or change it up so aerial attacks still mean something for non-aerial users.

It seems like MHX lost a lot of the usefulness of air attacks like jumping off ledges or climbing up a wall then jumping off towards the monster since they seemed to have balanced aerial mounting damage threshold around the spamming aerial style instead of making aerial style's mounting damage like 1/4th the value of normal vaults from ledges or walls.

basically you only ever really get a mount if you play aerial or adept SNS and reduces the environment interaction and that is lame.

I don't like they just didn't do this from the start, but $40 is alright enough for me to not waste 100+ hours doing it all over again and losing interest.
Low rank from Rank 1 - 4 is boring as fuck. MH4's story was a pretty nothing story, but I at least felt a sense of motivation. I suppose it helps that all the best maps are the default in 4 tho.
