I feel like you can do without Striker. The ability to use Charge and Riot with Readiness is the only thing it has going for it. You don't need the slight boost to art gauge for any of those and you can usually do without readiness depending on skill or weapon selection. I realize that the third axe art that does the big combo has a boosted finisher from having Riot active so Striker is the only way to do that and still have infinite Riot using Charge but it ain't worth it either m8.
Guild lets you still use Charge and Riot but also has that great transform attack I like from the berserk slashing cancel. Better combos for Guild in my modest opinion.

Not at all, the lock on does the job better.

Before the lock on you had to sloppily and slowly move the camera towards the monster and hope that the weapon would be centered on it.

After the lock on you just need to press a button and the camera will instantly center on the creature, giving you both more speed and more accuracy than before.

No shit, but do you think a monster is sidestepping all the time or something? If a monster moved so much that the lock on became too slow for them then not even regular attacks could be able to hit them before they moved away. The lock on makes your next attack almost guaranteed to hit if you're close enough, unlike manual controls. You're not even addressing the fact that it moves the camera far faster than manual controls do and you don't have to deal with potentially missing either.

Get this: If a monster is behind you, you can inmediately switch to where he is with the lock on and dodge/hit appropiately, especially if it's a beam. The manual camera is slower and you don't know the exact spot of the monster behind you so by the time you look you're already hit/missed your chance.

This happens all the time, do you even play the game? There's fast monsters everywhere, many have even feint moves and you're not meant to be hitting the center of mass of the monster but instead whatever breakable part or weak spot they have. The lock-on is unwieldy and helps make the abysmal lack of any camera control less bad but doesn't make the camera anywhere near good.

I imagine to keep people hooked into it for longer, in previous games to MH4U/Gen you'd do LR and it'd be full of generic monsters, then you'd do HR and you'd get a taste of an elder at the end but the majority would be at the end of G-rank. It means you end up going through three waves of the lesser monsters before finally getting to elders.

Doing it this way means when you reach the higher ranks you get to discover some totally new monsters (If you're new to the game) and probably feels way more rewarding than 'I just killed all this shit, why am I doing it again in HR?', especially if you're new and don't know what's coming.

Striker has the benefit of the 2 art combo and readiness for infinite White and solves the shitty mobility problems of sword mode which you will be on all the time, since axe mode is a no no, gameplay however will be a X spam and nothing else, it's okay tough since that move has good reach and it's easy to break parts with
Guild lets you do the dual arts combo and has the A double swing which is really nice, it lacks the third defensive move from striker.
Aerial is stupid good since you get 2 attacks per vault, making mounts really ez, only 1 art so take the free recharge with the affinity boost.

I mainly use striker for the combo + mobility with the hellblade or silverwind weapon, absolute readiness means infinite white, stack with RS, CritUp, WE and CE+3 and your clear times will get absurdly short

I think it might be from the fact that most monsters weak to dragon are VERY weak to the stat. So the multiplier is higher. Come to think of it, most weapons don't have as high a dragon stat as those dual wields. I haven't seen a weapon with dragon over 20.

It's a different experience for sure. A lot of weapon have slightly different mechanic, and you might not like it.
That said, I think the monsters aren't as punishing as in 4U and Gen, so you'll have time to adjust.
Underwater fights might or might not be your thing. It's different from what you're used to. 3U was my first MH, and I didn't like underwater, mainly because I sucked. Now that I'm back with some experience, I'm having a blast. That, and fighting on a flat fucking ground is refreshing too.

My personal problem with gen is it lacks a final boss. Otherwise I'm actually pretty contend with the game, my personal opinion.

Squid is an easy shit, even alone and it's even worse how you can destroy it in a group.
Alatreon stands at the helm, providing the best bossfight with it's wide attacks and nature of the hunt but it's easily overshadowed by the top tier deviant fights.

And there lies my problem, sure it's awesome taking down Al or one of the high tier deviants in the X version but they are pretty straight forward hunts without fanfare, without any "oh shit" moments like huge snek, tardragon or hugeass lavalagi.

Man you nailed it. Generations' padding is so bad that you actually do basically the same quests not twice but FOUR times if you also go through your village. This problem is actually so much worse than the amount of gathering quests.

Squid is honestly the best final boss monster we've gotten since Amatsu (unless you count Shagaru). It's pretty dynamic, has good music, and we've never had a monster like squid before.

My personal problem with Gen is that after 100 hours you reach a point where the only thing left to do is farm raths and hellblade.

Designwise, Nakarkos is a clever example on how to make a multi-headed monster without actually making it into one. It shows its potential as a role model for other monsters that pretend to be mythological multi-headed creatures to scare off threats.

The bone armor is also a clever irony because it shows that it is willing to do the same thing as hunters always do: kill monster and wear them as gear. It even adopts unique attributes from the monster bones it wears.

In short, Bone Splatoon is a clever design if you analyze it carefully. I hope he is exported to future generations.

I also would like the clarify that while Nerscylla is the first monster to kill and wear the skin of other monsters, it merely does so to protect its true elemental weakness. It's more of a stepping stone to Nakarkos, which does what Nerscylla does but on another level that resemble that of us, hunters.
