I'm going to go DRK once I can. I'll just do what I normally do. Test things out for myself and see how it all goes. This game is rather straightforward to me so I don't find it too difficult to pick things up.

If anything you could just spam the first few floors of potd. Or just the whole thing seeing as the whole thing is decently easy if you want to. I just feel the later floors get too chaotic to take at your own pace to learn things.

No. You use Painflare in your opener to get into Dreadwyrm faster, but beyond that, Fester only for single target. It's a loss of potency otherwise, not to mention that it helps to space your stacks out so that you'll have Aetherflow off CD when you go into Dreadwyrm in order to get a Fester in during it.

Turns out that when you're a raging narcissist without a shred of humility or self-awareness, you will get into groups with players who are much better than you are based solely on how you carry yourself. Not saying he's actually "bad", mind you (he's solidly "good, but not great" at the game), but he's consistently one of the weaker links in the (top-tier) groups he manages to land himself in.

Ironically, the reason he has a history of fast progression is the exact same reason he gets kicked from almost all of those groups.

Retired content is gonna depend a lot. If you want to do it properly, its gonna be a pain to find anyone for it, but you can do old duties with no level sync now as well.

If you make a party finder saying you have first time bonuses and you'll run unsynced people will usually be more than happy to help, since something called "Wonderous Tails" gets second chance bonuses for helping first time runs.

Marking targets should be a last resort, but you're not a shitter just because some max level player is focusing a different target and pulling aggro off you.

Simply marking targets is a quick and effective solution.

it's just really unfun and the reliance on RNG coupled with how much i (as a person who likes to collect mounts/minions) would've had to do it was daunting

rather dull environments filled with useless cannon fodder enemies and annoying rng traps that can wipe your progress and cause you to start over, getting very unlucky with weapon and armor upgrades making it so you can't even progress to the next set of floors, the end bosses being a complete joke

it's just boring content through and through, though i did like being able to transform into a succubus/manticore

I kind of enjoy it myself, as I like the type of things, but over and over is getting grueling. I only really been using it for a quick grind. Never had a problem with getting wiped or anything. Biggest annoyance is traps for me.

I don't think I'd say it's worth being more than a quick way to grind. I guess you want potsherds and the minions though. Getting those is rather painful.

Bleed is stupid good on some bosses, but doesn't make them piss easy when you're on NG++++ since one hit is 70% of your health.

I went through the whole DLC with a Refined Cathedral Knight Greatsword +8 at SL 80. Which is funny because it one shots most regular enemies but it was so slow that Friede became a serious patience game. Vilheim was great, I love being insulted by a character who then swings a black firesword at me. I found Gravetenders mostly by accident because I was really curious what was at the bottom of the icy lake, so I went down there before the rest of the Corvian settlement. It basically starts out as Capra Demon 2.0: Valorheart Edition into Sif 3.0 and I actually found it really fun, if a bit repetitive because Not!Sif fights like a quicker version of the wolves you just met, but with an Ava dash. I wish the new spells weren't like all shit, though. Frost does absolutely nothing in PvP, which is a shame because I've wanted ice magic this whole time.

That said, if you exclude phase 2, Friede is like my favourite fight in DaS3 with Nameless King and Pontiff Sillyman right behind her. Still could have done with a proper third boss and not Dunnel or Vilheim

I really enjoyed valorheart edition alot desu. The actual Champion once the wolves were dealt with was actually a really good duelist. And then when Sif came it was a "Kill this caster fuck quick." And then start using the pillars. I can't tell you how many times I died though to them.

I feel I'll like Friede once I go change my tactics. But, I'll try again later today.

My primary weapon though is usually Astora UGS, with a secondary of dragonslayer axe, all max of course.

We negotiated though because originally it was supposed to be 70. Then I wanted something else added being the background/action or something I can't remember and then it went to like 100 but we worked it down to 80.

Usually just FATE bosses, and it's not that I'm relying on my bird so much as that he was doing his job just fine until I was given some decent gear, and there appears to be absolutely zero equivalent to help him catch up to me and now all those points I spent on guardian are more or less wasted.

And like I said, I don't even need to attack to pull aggro off the boss anymore. I slap regen on my chocobo now and the heals are so powerful they eat all the aggro before I even have a chance to cast aero.

I can easily facetank the bosses myself, but now it feels like I've wasted 10 skill points on my chocobo.
