htoL#NiQ's controls were kinda bad, plus you had to navigate those electric wall barrier puzzles with your hand blocking you.

The analog control patch came like 1+ week after release, while you typically beat it in 2-3 days.

Htol can also be pretty frustrating, since you are expected to "die and remember". Mion moving slowly adds to that.

Lastly, htol has a few questionable stages. Mainly the chapter 4 one.

A big group simply quit at chapter 2's boss.

My Niijima Yae has Greed, Fitness lvl2, Devastation.
It's just her level 12 skill which doesn't fit into my build.

But if you have High Precision weapon, Devastation is...well, devastating.

This is the results:

Of course if one wants Maximum DPS there is no doubt three Attack Up level 4 is better. But in a way I think Fitness lvl 2 very valuable compared to some level 4 abilities.

That's why I'm always happy when one of my builds can fit in 1 or 2 of this Ability.

So I just beat General Brigand in Odin Sphere (about two hours in) and while I do like it something's off. I absolutely love the graphics and the story is suprisingly intruiging (I especially likes Gwendolins and the birds dialogues) but the gameplay is WAY too easy and I play games casually, so I wouldn't say I'm that skillful. I'm playing on normal as always and my inventory is overflowing with money and potions I don't use nor need (I just craft them all into one big damage potion to save space) and no boss fight was challenging in any way, which kinda let me down.
Does the difficulty rise up (I'm just two hours in after all) or maybe something's wrong with my game, because even for normal this is really easy, especially after I read a lot of threads how hard Brigand is supposed to be.

I hopelessly juggle the new game along with my backlog and don't really progress in any of them, then when I finally feel like I'm suffocating under the weight of my backlog, I drop all of those games and move on to the next batch. That, or I just play Miku.

I'm only on the second line of dialogue in the game and I ran into terminology I didn't know already. "最下層" in the elevator. This is gonna be a fun ride.

So, I finished Yomawari last night.
I liked it and will probably play more to get all the collectables.

It never came close to recapturing the fear I had at the very beginning though. I feel like the game showed its hand too early and I had seen the most it would really do. I seem to have lucked into some of the optional scares early on too which probably had me expecting more.

Personally, I'm the type of person who is most scared by the type of horror that I can't help but think about later on and I don't feel like Yomawari gave me much in that regard. Plus, the nearly non-existent death consequences made it unlikely for me to feel much dread when exploring. The couple of times when it had been a while since a Jinzo statue was the only times I really felt like I was in trouble.

I still liked it though. The sound design is top notch and I really like the art style even though a lot of it is too cute to be spooky.
