I like "Rustic Children" myself. It's a much lighter mod and is usually a lot more compatible with what I tend to run with. That combined with "Almost Everyone is an Adventurer" and "Relationship Dialogue Overhaul" may result in being able to take on a couple apprentices and have them go on adventures with you.

Then when it's time to settle down you could adopt them and be a good parent instead of someone like my father who fucks you in the ass, makes you lick his tattoos, then disowns you a few years later.

Extensible Follower Framework and Dynamic Follower Dialogue - DFD are a must. I use Convient Horses but honestly its buggy, for me atleast.

When it comes to followers, well its all really a matter of personal taste. Download some followers you think you'll like, but Inigo is an amazing follower.

Both random NPC mods are well worth a try.

Super-heavy load order guy from last thread here.
As per instructions I've gone through and disabled my entire load order, but the problem persists: after launching Skyrim and creating a character I always crash when attempting to return to the main menu or when loading the character creation autosave.

It obviously seems not to be an active mod, so what other culprits are there?

If Bethesda wanted, they could rip off your mod wholesale and you couldn't do anything about it. You can't go gawking to Youtube to remove it claiming to be the owner because you aren't Bethesda. What's worse is there are some here that are actually against Paid Mods, but are feeling this is infringing on part of them keeping their mods free. That's the other price you pay dip stick. It's not script issues, it's mesh issues. I rely on Vicn's creature mod for a lot of resources (World Eater Beater, Brhuce Hammar, and Wheels of Lull). All his meshes fuck up and don't convert.
For Mzark at least, I cannot figure out why, but Mz doesn't talk to the player at all, and none of the dialogue seems to play.
Not a big loss but i thought it'd be an easy convert before Skyrim came out, evidently not.

Graphics will always be up to personal taste. Tweak ENBs to your liking, don't expect defaults to be perfect, or for them to be perfect in all environments. Ones that look good at day, might be too dark at night.

That's an odd one, memory issue? I've never encountered this one before, at least that I recall. I would hate to think that this is a problem outside of the game itself. Hardware issues are a whole other mess and faulty ram isn't always apparent.
