The vast majority of Shadowverse decks are fair decks even if they're OP, so I think that's the main thing.

I've played a lot of card games and it never feels too bad losing to a fair deck because you can understand where it went wrong even if you couldn't stop it. Losing to unfair decks feels fucking awful.

I'd have to agree, no game has ever made me rage quit like hearthstone has, and in comparison Shadowverse has generally been an enjoyable experience. The only deck I ever get pissed off about losing to would be Elana Haven (especially if they get off that "give all 4+ def followers ward" amulet). Any other situation where I lose, I feel like I had particularly bad draws or they had good draws, or that I was genuinely outplayed.

Fair decks play with fundamentals and can be interacted with, unfair decks play sub-games and can't reasonably be counter-played. The latter mostly consists of combo decks, engines or abilities that let you ignore other players.

A good fair deck is Tempo Forest that tries to have an answer for everything and has options you need to play and counter-play. A bad fair deck is Mid-Range Blood for the same reasons, except less effective.

A good unfair deck is Storm Havencraft where everything is resilient and their strategy is to hit their cards and swing faster than you do. A bad unfair deck is Midnight Shadow that fumbles around and occasionally takes you from 20 to 0 before you can do anything about it.

Is it fun to play this game without spending any money on it ? Cause in hearthstone it's not. Also what would be the differences from hearthstone that would make me have fun in shadowverse and make me prefer it over hs ? A 2/3 with no text is a lot better than a 3/4 with no text. A 2/3 you can play on curve and usually get at least one value trade in before the evolves come down, whereas a 3/4 for 4 is horrible because it gets eaten by evolved everything and doesn't trade up.

However, Madame Lich's ability is expensive as fuck and impossible to activate on curve. She also gets countered hard by board clears most of the time, and has a slight de-synergy as a 2/3 with an expensive necromancy effect that wants to fill the board with followers (which tends to mean aggro). Also Shadowcraft has way too fucking many 3-drops. Wight King can reasonably be played on curve, and as a 4 mana 4/5 bane ward he has the potential to punish unevolved 4-drops, 4/5 evolve 4-drops, and trade up into anything bigger.

Overall Wight King is an easier include, but he sucks against earlygame banishes (which will starve your shadows and turn him into Goliath 90% of the time) and has fallen out of favor lately.

I actually think I might like Lich better in T2 though.

If you play Charon on curve and activate the Necromancy with evolve, you usaually will trade into their evolved 4 drop or 5 drop, which leaves you a 6/3(6/2) and 4/4 on board, depends on you go first or second. In the end, its not a stong board, because it get traded perfectly with dragon warrior or evil deed.
If you want strong mid game Necromancy creature, you should use Wight King.
