runecraft players, what's the mulligan plan for dshift? I'm having trouble getting a win even against slower decks, I try to keep a good curve (insight, conjure/summon golem) but maybe my game plan is wrong and I should keep dshift/flame destroyer because I seem to draw them way too late if I don't keep them. is it an RNG heavy deck or am I doing something wrong?

Not as big of a deal as you'd think - here, let's break it down:

- both Lilith and Charmer can do 3 damage to face the turn after you play them
- Lilith only does 1 self-damage per attack, Charmer does 2 for dying
- Lilith provides 1 damage of reach even if she's forced to trade into a ward, Charmer does not
- Lilith's self-damage is on your turn, so it can combo with Mary, Charmer's (usually) isn't
- Neither Charmer or Lilith get to do anything if they're killed right after they're played, but Charmer hits you for 2 while Lilith doesn't damage you at all

Lilith's only real downside is Barrage, of course - but frankly I'd rather lose Lilith to Barrage than lose Charmer to the rest of their stuff, since Charmer hits me back when Lilith would not. Granted, if you're playing hardcore bats where everything else on your board has 1hp I could almost see Charmer being somewhat appealing, but even at 2 health your opponent will kill it fairly easily and it'll just end up giving your opponent extra reach on you.

I usually do well against Forest. Don't see them as a threat at all, but I am C2. Only been playing for like a week. My W/L ratio against Haven is staggering. It's pretty much whether or not they have abysmal draws or not, that, or if they disconnect.

I invested all my vials towards Shadowcraft since it seemed pretty well-rounded and because I love necromancy shit. I even vialed some legendaries for some Phantom Howls for face damage against the stall Havens, but I hardly get to cash them out significantly. I also believe I need more Cerebrus, only have one at the moment. I'm just constantly overwhelmed by fucking birds, tigers, stat-boosting, amulets, and the essential big drops. What am I getting wrong? It feels pretty helpless at times.

My reasoning behind it is because most T2 players draft heavily for tempo. With the majority of their cards being <4 mana, they run out of cards in their hand fast and can't deal with actual bigger cards that shouldn't be seeing the light of day so early. I actually cut Charmers from my list, and did not consider Lilith for a replacement at all.

She dies to almost every 1-pp in the game, Elf Child May especially in this Forest meta. Fire Lizard in Face Dragon. Making your Runecraft matchup more difficult when she gets Angelic Sniped/Magic Missiled. Barrage as you say is prevalent.

Way too undurable for how little she does, making you lose pressure.

Swordcraft gets a 1/2 for themselves because they need an officer to go along with their other cards. As somebody who takes Aggro Blood to ranked occasionally, I've fought multiple opponents who Barrage multiple times in one game and completely fuck me.

Like everybody is doing it, Forest, Storm Haven, Sword. Even other Blood players.

I hit B rank yesterday with tempo forest and can't put together a streak anymore. I don't get how the deck is supposed to work if you don't draw the perfect curve and have no card draw. If I can't find the roach in 10 draws and have to use my evolves for board control it seems like it's hard to win. Evoing Cynthia feels like a waste, she can never last a turn so it's like getting two fairies, but I usually feel like I need to do it turn 6 regardless. What am I doing wrong? Sometimes it feels like I shouldn't even be trading, but that doesn't seem right.

There are plenty of moments in this game where the optimal thing to do is hit face. Your fairies will always have 1 health unless evolved, unless you're playing catchup and are being threatened by lethal, there's no point to throwing a mass of them into a single enemy follower as your opponent will trade into them for you. People have to clear fairies otherwise you get your Dancers, Wing Gods, and Cynthias out and punish heavily.

Tempo means board push, you don't seek to control board, but keep a constant presence that never ends. You're not a control deck so you need to get out damage when you can. Rhinos should be saved as finishers, avoid playing them early unless you'll be able to bounce them back immediately, but generally those bounces should be saved as well. A collateral bounce with Ancient Elf works well, but generally you want to save the PP to throw fairies or Lizas after the Elf.

If you don't draw Rhinos, you go face with your fairies, bounce them with Ancient, then just throw them back on board with Liza hopefully and then plop down Cynthia with them next turn.

Tempo Elf is slightly complex with the amount of options it has. Also, you use Ancient Elf to recycle cards on field frequently.

You also need to be wary of what the opponent can do to clear your board. Haven for example does not actually have any direct damage effects, just banish and hard destruction so Liza is literally just a 2/2 unless they've teched Barrage. Which everybody does nowadays so keep that in mind.

Feel free to use evolves to hit face if you have more than one and the opportunity presents itself. You're only going to get one evolve out of your Rhino finisher and getting that extra 2 damage earlier may be the difference between winning and losing.

Anyone knows where to get the most recent japanese voice pack? The only one I found was from reddit and is from june, there are still some english voices from the newest expansion

For all the cries of OP for tempo elf, is it bad if I personally like the deck simply because of all the options I can bullshit my way through a specific situation and come out on top anyway?

Hmm, I feel like I do need to play more aggressive. Most of my card game experience comes from HS arena and Take Two now so it just feels really bad to ignore board control. But I've had way too many games today where it seems like second and last evo point goes to Cynthia just to try to have the board back and it always felt wrong. Bloody Mary is good for blood, Odin is a good one-of tech, and I think some earth rune decks use Erasmus. Skullfane is the easiest legendary dust you'll ever see. Rose queen and Pluto are shit as well.

Odin and Bloody Mary are decent, but not truly core for the decks that use them. Besides that and Ancient Elf, the rest are junk.

The main difference between this game and Hearthstone deck building wise is that there's no legendary limit and playsets go up to 3.

So you're very far from any competitive deck that has legendaries at their core like Tempo Elf or Mid/Control Sword.

Banner Sword, Storm Haven, and Heal Haven are cheap and at their barebones only need golds.

That's pretty much why almost nobody used Execution before. It's not really that useful and even if you get rid of the banner at turn 5 you won't get rid of their followers. There's usually not even any point in using it to counter PtP because people usually keep it in their hand until they're near 30 shadows and it's not like you can avoid the 6 damage.

With Skullfane, you are betting on putting down a bunch of amulets and then activating all of them with Skullfane

Meanwhile, with Darkness Evolved you have Garuda who reduces countdown of an amulet by three and more often than not, that's already enough.
