I don't think the average host has realized you don't just enter the stance and go from there. You can and should stance after already attacking. You can go from two R1s into a stance combo and even get the jump tracking of the stance lunge. It's funny as heck to use while invading High Wall of Lothric because you essentially turn around 180 to follow their roll and catch them at the end. The ice R2 is also kinda nice to force spacing for a sweetspot, if they aren't already close enough to just roll past you, and if they are you actually have enough time to turn after it, since the animation for the ice swing is really short (the tradeoff being that the ice takes another second before it actually matters)
