I'm really disappointed in From. They put in Creighton, and they left Maldron out. He had some of the best AI in the entire series and I loved how he ran like a coward as soon as he was injured(Like the average invader).

I guess From couldn't be assed to program an intelligent invader, and with their even more intense hand-holding approach, wouldn't want players to cry about a "mean" and "unfair" NPC.

For reference, a heavy Greataxe has 633 pure physical AR at 40str and can be buffed with Warcry for an additional 10%. 40/40 Earthseeker is less damage for almost twice the stat investment.

There's an extremely common bug across all platforms that will cause some hosts to freeze their gamestate when a player connects to their game It persists for a long period even after you've spawned in. If they cross the fog while this is still happening, then it doesn't send the boss trigger flag to phantoms. You don't get let in and reds don't get to go home.

If the host waited a minute before going in, there would be no problem, but they can't see that the bug is happening on their end so they don't know, and there's no way to communicate to them that they are T-posed and not sending world flags to connected clients.

It's not.
It can't instableed with the WA. In fact, the WA's bleed buildup is actually ass. It has such a neagtive penalty on the bleed per hit that the full WA builds less bleed than a pair of L1s

Ironically, it's a shit weapon for bleed builds but an amazing one for buffbuilds. If you want to instantkill people, go with 60fth DMB like the twinblades. For some reason, buffs aren't penalized nearly as much as bleed so you still get 1300 damage WA combos.

Even against low level players with bad bleed resist, there's nothing you can do to make the WA instableed. It takes almost two full WAs to bleed someone. You need about 100 buildup on your target already for them to bleed from it with rouge.

The UGS buffs from the update really saved me this fight. I hit her with the stomp followup like 6 times. It's so useful against fast bosses like this now.

Stomp has better poise and the followup is a little faster. When Friede started mashing on my face in the 3rd phase I'd just stomp through it and golfswing her. The defense boost negated most of the damage and the knockdown would give me a moment to chug if I needed it. Would have been really hard to get in damage during phase 3 otherwise.

But why does the painted world rot periodically (those insects and eggs)? Is it like how books and painting can grow mold? I'm no historian but I'm pretty sure you don't treat old books and paintings with fire to clean them.

Is Ariandel the ''restorer'' of the painted world because the painter girl uses his blood from his flagellations as a base for a new painting, but she needs a flame to inspire the rest of it? Does this mean that the painted world is "restored" by being painted over, adding a new layer, essentially a new age?

Did Elfriede convince Ariandel as Sister Friede to withhold the flame from the painter girl in order to teach the denizens of the painted world about the rot and degradation experienced in the outside world, and Vilhelm locked the painter girl away in the corvian's home once their knights swore allegiance to Elfriede?

Did the Follows of Farron end up in the painted world because they had no purpose once the Watchers linked the fire in their age? Did the Milwood knights end up in the painted world because they were homeless after their forest vanished for reasons (maybe related to the Abyss Dragon, remember the Abyss swallowed Oolacile)?
