Kinda, the innate dual wield is what makes her skills with low multiplier strong, but her main point are variety of elemental attacks and how easy it is to chain with her.

But yes, most 6* with dual wield will do more damage if you don't consider chaining and will most likely have more utility too. Considering chaining there will be some that fall behind.

The worst among a bunch of JP units is irrelevant now, he's still a beast of a magic attacker (mostly because we don't have any other 6* ones yet) based on his 6* status alone. If you draw him, you'd be stupid to not use him.

I didn't even know Lasswell got ability enhancements. Kind of doesn't change that its discouraging since he was kind of the baseline of the bottom barrel. Then there's Vaan, who got his 6* recently and it didn't really do much for him either.

We've known Cloud was physically weak since FFVII. He flunked out of SOLDIER and had to become a Shinra infantryman. This isn't a demerit. Characters aren't worth less because they can't bench trucks.

Also Cloud in Advent Children was depressed and solidly convinced he was dying of an incurable magicancer, of course he was "a blank slate" (more accurately, listlessly fleeing from everything in his life).

Being named Zack's living legacy didn't give him willpower. His willpower is 100% his own.
Again, he was never given Zack's whole personality. Just overwrote himself with some of Zack's memories when the Jenova within him tried to mimic Tifa's expectations. I don't know if he even has swordplay skill at the start of FFVII, or if he even fights with Zack's style; that stuff grows over the course of the game.

Squalls memory and identity changed from GF problems, making him forget He joined SEED and wanted to be strong because he met his future self and Ultimecia has a child, the reason he wanted to be strong, and his only memory as a child was his "sister" leaving him alone giving him issues with trust and friends and such.

So we have a characters who story involves him aiming for something, losing something in his progress, and making a full circle.
and a story of somebody who didnt try hard, and got it anyways because everything went along for him.

Characters being weak or failing in the goals they set for themselves is not bad writing, anon. It's called flaws. It doesn't make them less. Perhaps less "badass", but that just goes hand in hand with my initial point: that Cloud's real character isn't what people tend to take away with Cloud as seen in other media.
Also, Cloud definitely had to try hard mentally to come back from mako poisoning and retain his identity after literally swimming in the Lifestream, which evaporates the ego of humans. (Granted, Tifa helped him with this. But characters are allowed to be helped.)

Clouds "victories" come from his ability to keep himself together when vied with so many forces striving to tear him apart. Jenova's natural behavior rewriting his sense of self, mako and Lifestream dispersing his consciousness, Sephiroth actively trying to mess with his head and gaslight him out of self-recognition.

Cloud's not the kind of guy who triumphs with strength of arms, no. He didn't get to be like Sephiroth of his own free will, nor was he ever a SOLDIER 1st Class. What he did accomplish was not lose himself and not go insane when tormented inside and out by various psychological hazards, and manage to hold onto the right thing to do. In the final act of the main game, as you put it, he decides to fight Sephiroth, even though it looks very much like the world may end even if he manages it. The entire cast at that point is steadily succumbing to fatalism, and he is the one to decide to pilot a course straight for the north crater. He's not that "heroic" of a person, though he manages to be brave. Why do you presume all main characters have to be strong beacons of masculinity and might?

And in Advent Children he's literally fucking dying and there's nothing he can do about it. I think it's quite justified that he can be succumbing to despair. There's nothing to overcome until Sephiroth appears on the scene. Unless you wanted him to cure his own magical cancer with pure gutsiness.

In Advent Children? It was really more metaphorical. His victory was Sephiroth's inability to understand him, more broadly Sephiroth's inability to understand anyone. Cloud's anger over his malevolence allowed him to Limit Break. Limit Breaks are actual concepts in FFVII's setting (though rarely developed or explained to any degree), they happen when emotions hit the boiling point and grant a tide of power. Cloud hit his Limit there with Sephiroth's continued taunting and tormenting.

Omnislash Ver. 5/6 is, ultimately, just a really angry way of saying "you just don't fucking get it, do you?". With a sword.

Cloud and Sephiroth in varying degrees are really Glass cannons. like Canonically and reflected by gameplay.

They are infused with lotsa Mako. Sephiroth allegedly more so. Mako makes you stronger, but weakens the body. thats Mako Poison for you. materia, crystallized mako makes you lose HP for MP and Mag. power gains. More Materia means less HP. So being infused with lotsa Mako makes you super strong, but makes you really weak also. I kinda liked they rolled with this, cause fact is, Cloud is very easily beatable, he cant take much damage and live. Dudes died like three times across all crossovers and compilations. If anything, he just has endurance to follow through a fatal wound, though afterwards is kinda screwed without somebody to help him up... or kick him out of heaven.

So Stona if they don't have it, status immunity, defenses so they don't die, dualcast, that kind of thing.

And yeah, SPR means basically nothing. The scale is linear, so the most you can add is like 200hp per turn compared to a unit with 1 SPR/MAG. Not to mention units like Tilith who don't even use the heal formula.

But how does Jenoviroth have his sword. and then the Sephiroth fragments is weird, and can become Sephiroth again with jenova cells, but again how did he get his sword back? and be back to strength with only one third of the split. because kadaj wasnt doing the shit Sephiroth was doing despite it being the same body.

Kefka wasnt THAT weak, experiemnt gone wrong gave him good Magic powers. BUT when he claimed power of warring Triads, that became him. He became a Magical God, in life and Death. Sephiroths Life Stream boost is as temporary as he can keep a flow as shown in AC he was back to base.
Vayne, ditto. He was more of a politician. Gabranth though, total badass.

If its a shape shift sword, than its not a blade, its a fleshy extension. I dont think we ever got hint her skin was titanium like either. and doesn't change things for Kadaj.

It kind of doesn't take away that other people who were enhanced couldn't do the job of taking down Seph or completely broke to Sephiroth, never gaining back their identity, but Cloud did.

The Lifestream bit proved he at least had it in him to try coming back. Getting Tifa's help doesn't diminish it. Though it is funny sh survived a good hit from Masamune. Zangan raises 'em tough.
