Yeah, you can only combo off of Haku's 6B when you use a RC or it's a CH. Hakumen gains meter passively over time, the meter gain is accelerated when he lands hits or is being hit (dunno about blocking, does he get more meter from IB or meter from blocking at all?).

Not him, but I agree that Celica is utterly passive. She only exists to act sweet and to be protected. Even when she ran off to Japan in order to look for her father, that was only because Kazuma manipulated her to do so. If he hadn't she'd have just sat in Ishana. She always does what others tell her to do and has no desires of her own other than to be nice to people.

And she's too innocent. She was in love with Ragna her whole life, but never realized that fact. I guess being aware of what love is would take away from her child-like innocence. Not to mention that there's nobody she dislikes and that she displays no negative emotions; most girls in BB are idealized, but Celica takes it to such an extreme that she doesn't feel like a real person at all.

Angst-y histories aren't necessary for a Mary Sue - really, no single trait is "necessary" so long as the character fits into the description - but Celica's powers (which, incidentally, allow her to keep being the "passive good girl" instead of actually fighting) still don't justify lack of character flaws. Lambda can cook normally. We don't exactly know how well, but she's still better than Noel.

I dunno if we can put Mai and Ragna in the same category as the other three. Jubei's cooking is said to be on the same level as a high class hotel, while Hibiki and Valkenhayn are good enough to satisfy Rachel's palette, so it's pretty clear that those three are supreme-high class.

In Ragna's case, we only have Bullet's words to go on from a gag reel, and even then she only said that it's "so good". Mind you, we don't really know what kind of standards she has and she was also starving at the time.

I've been playing this game for a little over a year, and by play, I mean I get bodied by hard mode arcade an average of 6 times before finishing it. I'm pretty much beyond help in terms of technical skill. I'm looking for the most spoonfoodering reading materials or videos ever. Anything that will help me put together a complete routine. Stuff like how to confirm a hit, or what the hell a confirm hit even is. I have only a vague idea of it.

It took me over an hour to get down Ragna's 214b, 214d, 5b, 5d, 623d, 236c, 236c combo. Doing movements like "carnage scissor" without buffering it during a fairly long move is not very feasible at the moment.

Anybody got tips for a player looking to assemble an extremely low-tech Ragna?

First thing I tell people is don't mash. Each part of the combo should only be input once.

After that breakdown the inputs. Just practice the motions until perfect. Just do 214B after you perfect it 5-10 times a row, add the follow up and make it perfect.

Also it doesn't have to be visual either for practice. say there's a part of a combo you can't get down. Like its j.C into j.623D >... But you can't get to the j.C part just do 5C >623D. It's the same input

It makes sense considering the nature of Mai's power; if anything the way Es regained her memories in Lost Memories was rather silly. The main issue for me is doing the carnage scissors input during another move without dropping the combo, so I've been trying to do it during 5d whenever possible, but 5d isn't always available. When Es lost to Susanoo, she tried to activate Murakumo but it failed. Susanoo revealed that the reason it wouldn't work for her was because the Master Unit acknowledged her inability to defeat him. She lost her Azure powers and as a result, lost her ability to use Murakumo's full power. She then teleported to Naoto and asked him for help before turning into seithr, having lost her qualification.

According to both Es and Susanoo, the true Guardian of the Azure is Ragna. Es was basically a placeholder.
