Well, the last time I played with some 90 cap, I had leveled my lunar knight and stopped about 1 day after it finished levelling.

Before that, I had originally played a raven and had eventually gotten the LK up to 70 as well during that time, before stopping. But I had also considered a... dont remember the opposite of smasher, the gravity mage.

It's a bit of a problem, since while I enjoy the flashy anime faggotry of the LK, and the look of the costumes he gets, I kind of think I enjoyed how the raven played more, but I cant really know without spending a bit of time more on both. (Was also humoring the idea of trying said mage or the edgy dark warrior, and yes I'm the same one from the last thread)

but I'll obviously need to pick much faster than I'd like since I kind of forgot about the game until yesterday.

Honestly, I think open-world PvP in a themepark MMO is dumb. I mean, it's not like UO where you could wander around the world, everyone is concentrated in static quest hubs so they're trivial to camp.

At the very least if there were level restrictions on PK so there's danger involved for both parties then there'd be something to discourage it. A max level player camping a mid level quest hub and one shotting everyone doesn't really add anything to the game.

Depending on how things develop and how the game's pvp is balanced for large numbers of players participating (that is, the ability of a few players to deal intelligently with a disorganized larger group, or objectives set up in such a way as to disadvantage the attacker who usually has larger numbers) you can still have a healthy pvp culture despite a lack of balance numbers-wise.

Age of Wushu is(was) a great example of this. The game died because of rampant out-of-control botting in the end, because the game functioned around limited resources and penalized killing outside of events (especially for low level players), so bots could just be set to afk farm a resource node as it spawned, and players would be penalized for killing the bot.

Guild Wars 2. Build definitely matters as does skill/execution and stat grinding isn't a thing, but whether you think it's dumbed down or not is down to taste.

Wildstar meets your needs too but it's semi-dead if not dead. Questing is pretty fun though, but dungeons tend to be ran by power-leveling high levels so usually you don't get the full experience on the way to cap.

Keep an eye out for Camelot Unchained, as well. It's promising a lot of those things and more, with a basis in Dark Age of Camelot.

You can start saving money for Reload training pots. If you see one cheap buy it right away if you are serious about guns. The rest of skills can be ranked up normally with talent bonus.

Also, again, ranking up some bard will really help you. Increased damage by 30-40% is really what you want on Gunner. Also skills like Shooting Rush aren't real AoE, more like poking everything around with normal attacks, so if you don't kill right away you have whole room on you. Lullaby will help you.
