You have many of the pieces needed for Control Blood. That being said, Beast Dominator and Soul Dealer see no play, with Soul Dealer generally being agreed upon as one of the contenders for worst legendary in the game.

Unfortunately you still need a lot to do a full Control Blood list and only Vania is useful there for Aggro Blood, though Bloody Mary can be solid too.

Medusa doesn't really see play. She's a cool card, but just doesn't get enough value the turn she is played to really matter.

Blood is a good craft, but the Vengeance mechanic could make it hard to draft for new people. You have to take into account you won't always have it active and when you do you usually are under pressure.
It takes some practice to become a good Blood player, it's not like Swordcraft where all you need to worry about is having a solid curve.

Maybe a combination of all of those things if you're relatively new to the game and don't know most of the cards, you'll get better with time, and if you're at a loss on which draft to pick you can get some help here.

General rule of thumb is that Sword and Shadow are the most consistent to draft well, so those are the ones to pick if they're available, the other classes bar Forest and Rune are passable if they aren't.

If you're wondering why Forest and Rune aren't recommended, it's because they rely on quite a few synergy cards to perform well, which is never assured when drafting, but as is with drafting, some people might get decks that go nuts with them but it's definitely not the norm.

God tier is Sword. There needs to be an entire tier of nothing under it, except maybe Poorly Drafted Sword. It's that much better than everyone else. Following that would be Shadow who is really good too. Another empty tier and then Dragon and Haven as both can be really strong if you get good drafts. Everyone in this tier and below win games if they aren't against Sword. If you win against Sword, they got a bad draft.

Followed by that is Blood on its own. Base gimmick is awful for Arena and many of its guards do nothing useful for you in Arena. That being said it can still often go for early wins or maybe even control depending on how you drafted it.

Rune and Forest aren't playable. You can win with them, but it's because you got extremely lucky in your draft and your opponent got unlucky.

In general only use Shadow or Sword. I consider Arena to be completely broken because of how strong Sword is. It makes the whole experience not fun. Winning because my opponent couldn't pick Sword or Shadow is not satisfying. Losing because my opponent went Sword and has constant board pressure and cycle the whole match isn't satisfying either.

But no I completely disagree about it going head to head. A great Shadow draft is a mediocre Sword one. Sword is able to flood the board more quickly and reliably because it doesn't have to rely on any kind of necromancy gimmick.

The most important thing is the cycle though. The reason why Sword is so much better than an aggressive curve draft with any other class is because its cards all have built in buffs, summons, and cycle. They basically never have subpar plays and the buffs mean they are strong even late, if it somehow made it that far.

If Mordecai won you the match in Arena then the opponent had a bad deck.

Shadow has much better removal in Undying Resentment, Phantom Howl, Foul Tempest, Deathbrand, and Call of the Void. If it ever gets to late game, Shadow's cards wreck even the best of Sword's because they have value and answers and Sword does not have as many answers.

In early/mid game, minions like Spartoi Soldier, Bone Chimera, and Hell's Unleasher outvalue most Sword minions and effectively compensate for cycle since they 2-for-1 so often and help deny the board presence Sword needs to snowball.

I agree that Sword is on top due to its better consistency, but a top Shadow draft can wreck even a top Sword draft. A poorly drafted Sword, as in a terrible curve, is actually pretty bad since Sword relies on curve, and it will lose to a good T2 draft.

Heal Haven is easily the worst control deck in terms of value, the reason it's played is because of the strong matchup against aggro, it's not a "nice bonus." There's a reason why Control Sword has a 60% winrate against it, Heal Haven's value game is garbage, and against decks that don't care about racing you down most of their followers are just overstatted vanilla followers that get deleted by efficient trades and removal.

Anyone have advice for my Aggro Blood dick? I'm so conflicted on Midnight Vamp, the bat buff is awesome but other times she's a brick. I don't have a third castle but I'm not sure if I'd want one. Forte costs 6 mana naturally. I'd say she's pretty balanced compared to roach considering you can do insane burst damage. Forte ATTEMPTS to stick with the "cannot be attacked" passive but suffers from being removed by almost everything. She's only broken in T2 in my opinion. In the case of Face Dragon, if you lose to that you would have probably lost to any other face deck of another class anyway.

Sounds like you should take a look at Shadow or Blood then as they can play control and have Black elements, mainly because Shadow tends to have all the "Effect triggering on death" followers while blood tends to use up your own HP for stronger effect

Yet, both control Blood and Necro are currently not in the meta right now, so I suggest you try out the first stage of the main story for each class to get a feel of what you would like

Here's a legit breakdown:

The idea that you just fucking GIVE UP against a good Sword draft is fucking infuriating to me. No, you don't. Sword have weaknesses. While they can fill board easily they can struggle for value, their hard removal is limited, and their reach is often dependent on buffs. They ABSOLUTELY have subpar plays and buffs alone will not make them strong in the late game. I've beaten sword decks that had Floral Fencer, Aurelia, Sage Commander with Haven, with Blood, with Forest.

That's not even getting into the meta. Haven is GOOD against Sword. If you are seeing Sword decks everywhere in arena (which you will be) you should pick Haven more.

Sword and Shadow are the only tier 1 in arena. They're the only classes with consistently strong, low rarity early game, and little to no bricks. Shadow obviously has more bricks in its higher rarity spots (Atomeme) than Sword, but it's nowhere near as bad as Dragon, where every fucking amulet is a brick, and the legendary one is mediocre at best.

Like your argument is Dragon is bad because what, Wyrm Spire is bad? Polyphonic Roar and Dragonsong Flute aren't bad in arena. Sword IS good against Dragon in take 2, which weakens it as a meta pick, but in terms of just choosing a craft it should be considered one of the top tier options.

One could say the exact same thing to you. Shadow is second only to Sword on how strong it's early game aggro. Rabbit Necros alone put Dragon's entire early game to shame, but then you have the 2/2 deal 1 that counters Sword, you have cheap removal and draw, you have sticky shit, you have cheap AoE removal to counter and mass wards to counter the best current arena class.

Shadow as the agreed upon best arena class for ages, but DE pushed Sword's arena game too hard, and buffed Shadow's counter (Haven) a bit to bring it down a notch. I'm fully convinced the people who think Dragon is just as good as Shadow and Sword, have played 20 arenas tops. They weren't here when going infinite was actually a thing, and barely got any experience to be making claims like that. No one is saying Dragon is bad, it's the undisputed third best, only slightly behind Sword and Shadow, it just has slightly too many shit cards for the format to go over the top, and I'd argue it's early game is nowhere near top tier in arena, just "good".

OK, we obviously have completely different approaches/opinions here. I don't even think Rabbit Necro is a particularly good card in arena and I definitely don't think it puts Dragon's entire early game to shame. There are 3 drops I would much rather have that Rabbit Necro in Shadow in arena.

I think you're overrating Shadow's options without considering how many of them you are likely to get in an average draft. There's no guarantee of picking up Foul Tempest, for sure, and sometimes you're gonna get offered Phantom Dragons. You've got the same argument for Dragon of course, sometimes you're gonna get trash amulets.

I've only been playing the game since a couple of weeks before DE, so I probably do have less experience than you, but I do well in take 2 (I'm infinite on log-in bonuses + runs, I don't play ranked at all). I personally feel like you more easily get a draft that can go 5-0 in Dragon than you do in Shadow.
