You can cheat it by having a co op partner on lower difficulty like gears 3 but I did most of it solo on insane and only act 3 and 4 made me frustrated and got me stuck on a lot of parts. Acts 1, 2 and 5 are complete cakewalks.

Overall 17hrs playtime to beat Insane.

On a somewhat related note, Im not sure if its just because I was playing Insane campaign or not, but in the announcement trailer you can chainsaw pouncers if you knock them off your teammates, but in the final game your chainsaw bounces right off, which made sections with them a huge pain in the ass and the best strat I found was grenade tagging one right after pushing it off a teammate since thats an instant kill

I'm not doing it insane (yet) but I'm doing hardcore solo and it's relatively easy, the robot things are complete pushovers and I only died a few times in the prologue when you have to fight a fuckton of locust at once. That and I was still getting used to the whole "Oh, right, if I die in campaign I have to start over. It's not like versus" (I have more than a day of total playtime in versus)

I'm assuming it gets more challenging when I finally get to fight the swarm.

I seriously don't understand why you can body people in one shot from the hip within the gnasher from approx. 1 foot, but if you're beyond like three feet your shots do NOTHING. Like, I wouldn't be fucking everyone over? Because personally for me, it's hard to commit to all 50 waves, or even 40...

It's really just whatever is more comfortable.
Though you can't pull instant 180 gnashers with a controller.
I play it on PC with a controller just because it's how I've always played gears.

>People(not engineers) try to build so many fortifications while completely ignoring engineers
>People build fortifications extremely early(like wave1-10) or needlessly abuse turrets in easier waves, only leading to money shortage in harder waves.

I don't know how I can play horde with people like those.
I think every time I search for my teammates I find at least two of them act like this. they also often leave before wave 30.
