So I haven't played Gears since Judgement (which was poor). I loved Gears 1-3, with my favourite multiplayer experience being Gears 2.

I'm tempted to buy a One just to get Gears 4 for its multiplayer. Is it worth it? Will it take me back to the good ol' days?

Really? I don't think I've ever noticed it. People hardly use mics in general.

I play KotH almost exclusively because it has by far the longest matches, which allows you to get the most kills, downs, assists, and of course caps and breaks which give you a ton of points.

An average match of KotH for me is probably 5k-7k points, but on especially good matches I can get 10k+. You just gotta cap/break as much as you can, and I don't even use the gnasher I just spam the hammerburst and enforcer and get a fuckload of downs which give you a ton of points.

The last match I played, my team unfortunately lost but I still got nearly 15k points with almost 50 kills and almost 20 caps. Feels good.

Why is the multiplayer in this game so shit right now?

You can point blank somebody in the back with the shotgun 2 times, and they turn around while you're trying to get away from their horseshit and one shot you from three times the distance.

Combine that with the fact that once again, hardaiming the gnasher makes the spread tighter, just like in gears of war 2, which literally everybody acknowledged was absolutely retarded, and you have an experience where the only way to successfully play is to intentionally tank your connection so that you're the world's biggest sponge, or sit back and hardaim around right hand corners like a massive vagina.

Get your shit together TC - 2/10, just barely worse than gears 2. I'm honestly impressed they could fuck up this badly after copy/pasting most of the platform from gow3.

So I just jumped into this game, not knowing how any of this bounty, scrap, or credits work.

Should I be saving up? I've been opening all my crates and trying to achieve the challenges but no idea what to do in regarding getting more characters and unlock skins. Any advice?

Best chance for character skins is Elite Packs or whatever. They are 3500 credits a pop, or 5 dollars a piece. Scrap all the shit you don't want in the Customization area (stupid skins like Teacup, Day of the Dead shit, Zombie shit, Emblems) and save up your scrap for what you really want most. In my case it was more characters.

The quickest way to earn credits is to play either Core/Competitive gamemodes, complete bounties that reward credits, or do Insane Horde. Everything in Social playlist rewards less credits than in its ranked counterpart.

I usually go for the high-explosive weapons, as I think they are the ones best for putting on pressure and exerting map control. Usually my teammates go for stupid shit like sniper, leaving me alone to fend for the big guns (enemy just throws a smoke and takes it anyway) and then we get creamed.

Maybe I should just rush nades if my teammates rush sniper/precision weapons. I also like to pick up the Boltok if it's there and sit back and provide precision cover-fire/harassment but my absolute favorite is grabbing the Tri-Shot on Reclaimed and covering my team from there.

If there's a 3.5mm male on the end of the Turtle Beach, then you don't need the adapter, you can plug the cable straight into the Xbone controller.

Me and my friend are doing Insane C-op and we have most of the blisters to destroy but it's nigh impossible it feels with all the enemies around
