The humans were able to step into Thedas thanks to the presence of the Veil and found the elves' civilization utterly ruined: they seized the chance and stole everything from them, but the thing is the elves have been there since forever, so they obviously had to "did everything". Thedas as a whole is based on the elves and dwarves' cultures, because they are the most ancient. I think that actually makes sense.

He doesn't mention only elves, but "everyone": we know that all races have a hidden potential that the Veil didn't let trigger/interrupted (dwarves and their link with the Titans, the Qunari's birthright is the power of Great Dragons and magic fire, the humans can use magic just like elves, elves were powerful af and have the strongest bond to the Fade).

At this point, it's clear that Solas will succeed, the consequences and what Mythal has in mind are what really matters.

EA actually said how much it sold on their fiscal report of 2015: more than 3 million copies, which considering the fame the series has gotten due to Gaider and DA2 is a lot.

It also greatly helped EA's final fiscal year together with Battlefield - they even released the number of hours played on the multiplayer, nearly 200 million.

Also, had it sold like shit, they wouldn't have given the approval to make Trespasser one year later and make it open-ended. The game sold well enough to make EA let Bioware work on a sequel.

Witcher has a good balance. It still has sluts and rape, it doesn't act like those things don't exist. Geralt is pretty confused by that trans elf but then again also doesn't further ask or give a shit and the men are pretty pissed at Cerys because women shouldn't participate in what used to be sausage fest and things like that. It's the Executive Producer of DA since from Origins. He's the one who posted that video of a red book many months ago and constantly teases the fans.

He's probably the one who most let info slip through, although Weekes (Lead Writer) and Epler (Narrative Lead) have started doing it too.

Weekes mentioned a few months ago how the program for writing and adding dialogues crashed just as he was working and Epler posted the photo of a mocap session, refusing to say anything about it.

Laidlaw (Creative Director) is quieter about it, but he once said that just because they aren't saying anything (because of contractual obligations) it doesn't mean they aren't working.

all of the stories are self-contained, they are all designed to be able to be consumed on their own without any prior experience with the other games.

there are some returning characters but they are more like cameos and the things they did in previous games aren't really that plot relevant or important.

inquisition especially was designed with new players in mind since it's the first real "modern" rpg in the dragon age universe and they wanted to attract a bigger playerbase.
