Forest seems quite strong for arena, but rune is so darn inconsistent. One game I get a bunch of earth rite cards but no sigil, and another one I draw a bunch of sigils but nothing to use them on.

I hate how SV changed the lore on a lot of the cards. One of RoB's strengths was how a lot of the cards relate to each other in some way and build a believable universe despite having no actual story.

The real secret to rune in arena is that you can just draft a bunch of removal and grind people out. I play rune a lot in arena and consistently get at least 4-0 doing this.

So Polyphonic Roar isn't that strong a card in arena, right? It's infinite value but it only starts to kick in on turn 10 and it requires you to pass your turn 9 entirely.

Fafnir is very, very good in arena. He's a huge finisher that also damages/clears a board. His 2 damage is not always relevant on a turn 9/10 board state but sometimes it is.

I don't think Deathmist is outright bad in arena. It's not a general purpose card and you'd be despairing if you had only Deathmists for your 4s but it's good against Sword/Shadow's early game minions.

Olivia is a 6/6 on turn 9 if you use an evolve which is faster than Roar but slower than Fafnir. Olivia also gives you evo mileage and can allow you to evolve more aggressively across the entire game. I would personally pick right here because I believe those two cards - together - are more likely to be useful in more games.

As first pick you don't really know if you have ramp or not yet which could change the pick here.

Bloody Mary is Blood's best legendary by far.

Meanwhile Soul Dealer is trash, even on turn 4. If his stats were switched he'd actually be pretty decent. He has some niche uses, like getting into vengeance against control/combo that's specifically not hitting you, but he can actively make you lose the game.

Bloody Mary lets you do 5+ damage to your opponent's face and is soft ward because of her firepower. Soul Dealer's ward is pretty useless since it's only 6 HP after an evolve, which is pretty easily broken if the opponent has anything. You don't actually want to be in vengeance that early since it's not like you can play anything significant besides Righteous Devil.

No. No she's not.
I have a feeling you have no idea how to use Bloody Mary. You don't play her naked, you play her on the same turn you play cards that damage you. For instance, a common late game Blood turn is Bloody Mary + Dire Bond, which is honestly insane. You get a 4/5, deal 6 damage to your opponent, and start drawing an extra card and gain 2 life every turn.
And if you Bloody Mary + 2 razor claws you deal 10 damage in burst. That's half someone's life from 3 cards that cannot be stopped in any way.
And what Soul Dealer actually does is fucking kill you. He's a shit tier ward because he has higher attack than health so he dies easily, and while he gives you vengeance it's really not worth it. You don't even want to be in vengeance early except for something like Righteous Devil, and you're really just putting yourself at a huge risk except against the slowest of control decks. And in the late game Soul Dealer is just absolute garbage.

You can play Bloody Mary on curve just fine. It's not optimal, but she's still a soft ward regardless because the threat of 2x dire bonds or 2x razory claws the next turn is just too big to ignore.

Sure there was a lot of Midrange Sword, and I hated that deck, but there were lots of other decks too. 5/7 of the classes had a tier 1 deck and you saw all of them on ladder pretty frequently. There was also less aggro overall.
Now only 3 classes have a tier 1 deck, and of the, what, 5? tier 1 decks it's divided among those 3. The meta has also become so fast you can't fuck around as much anymore. Shit sucks.

Unlike Shamanstone, the art is consistent as fuck. There are no Kill Command quality trash in the game. The only thing shitstone has on Shadowverse is a better, cleaner looking field. The new PC UI fixes a lot of the visual issues that plague the game.

There are plenty of manly men (Urias, Rowen, all the male sword guys like Leo, Alex, etc..) and fuccbois (Luci, Alucard, Azazel, vamp/elf bard, haven prince etc..). You just never see people posting them, because who the fuck is going to post pretty boys?

Having Storm and Rush is still relevant (even if currently redundent) because there's a possibility of cards being printed that interact with specific keywords.

IE a 2 mana 1/2 with "while this follower is in play, Storm does not have any effect". A card with just storm would not be able to attack on play in this situation, but a card with both would be able to attack minions.
