I'm about a month into my first fighting game since like 15 years ago when I was a kid, Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator-... should I buy BB CF? I hear its a lot of fun but I dont know if I should change at this point.

These videos are by mynus, the best i-no in the united states. I-no is a setplay character so her gameplan is to knock you down and kill you from there. She is very very tough to play especially if youre new to guilty gear but anyone can be played if you put enough time into them.

*take in mind that she is a bit different from the rest of the cast due to her unique dash which is integral to her gameplay
*her defense and neutral game are kinda weak but her offense up close is scary and her damage output considerable
*her air throw range is great

Learn a couple of basic combos like jk js 6p 5h js js jh 236s/k, 2k 2s hcl, very very basic stuff. Bigger combos, resets and all the shiny stuff will come naturally with some practice, getting used to her should be your top priority.

Then the hard part is learning how to get in and how to stay in, don't just try to 66 dash or spam hcl because you're going to get btfo, even though she scary up close she can also be easy to disrespect. Watch some high level footage (osca, 2rio, daru, this >>158091471 >>158091479 ) to get an idea on how to get in and how to keep pressure/setplay.

Mike Ross started as a very emotional kind of player to your e-Sports polite eloquent entertainer, and Gootecks went from a reasonable but still silly player to the scammy guru persona he's pushing too hard right now.

Consider this: when they ever showed of getting pissed off at this game, or even SFxTK? Never, because they reached moderate popularity and the Capcom money was too delicious for their needs.

So i "fixed" my shitty d-pad on my controller and now if i press down a button and slightly move my finger sideways it won't register as two direction.Now i have to actually press the space between the buttons for it to register as a diagonal input.
However i bought a stick too which i can easily resell for the same price or even more.
What to do?
Keep practicing on the stick so i am confortable with it as much as the pad or just sell it and keep playing on the pad and eventually buy a DS3/4.

I'm also a Birdie main, and while I agree he's one of the best designed character it's SFV tho so not saying much, he's clearly not on the level of the top 8 characters, he can't really keep offensive momentum going, he deals big damage but most of the unga character in the game are on par with Birdie on this aspect, his defense is trash (no reversal, no 3f, mediocre v-reversal).
He doesn't need much to be really good tho, maybe a slight damage boost (since it's supposed to be his biggest strenght) or better defensive options (ex bull horn being an armor move on frame 1 would be great, or just standard bull horn being a reversal similar to Balrog's SFIV headbutt)

the problem with ex bull horn is that it starts on button release, and button release doesn't benefit from the 3-frame input buffering window like button press does. so if you want to use ex bull horn as an armored reversal on wakeup, you have to hit it frame-perfect.

I agree with Karin since she's easy to keep out but Ken and Ryu are far from being easy matchups, Ken can easily get in and pressure you to death and Ryu, while even, is a struggle due to how solid he is.

I played some sets of Hyper SF2 the other day after I convinced my friend that I didn't want to play Street Fighter 5. I forgot just how amazing SF2 is.
