No.

Cards can take you from 280 to about 295 and once you hit 300 they can take you to about 315.
You'll probably go from 275 to like 292 or so. Got to quest or grind to 300 for level 14 cards to become usable.

This only lasts until this event is over though (so until Tuesday).

Right now, if you do every new map in the game, explore fully and all quests, there is just barely enough exp from cards to get you from 280 to 330.

Are the Musketeer C2 skills any good? Seems like the C2 attributes are better than the actual C2 skills.

Started at around 275 too, at 324. Only did the first floor of cavern of archer/caster hell quests but explored 4/5 out of and explored every other zone. Only other quests I didn't do were the ones behind bosses, most of which I couldn't solo. No real point to card beyond 325 though, just slowly accrue xp over time.

The thing is though, to negate a mobs damage, you basically need defence equal to or greater than it's attack.

If a mob has 1500 magic attack and you have above this magic defence, you'll take 1 damage from it anyway.

That being said, unless you use a sword + shield (both 315 ones with like 330 mdef each), lots of nuaele cards and enchanter buffs, you probably can't get that much mdef.

What this really seems like is we are lacking heavily in a buff like Aspersio, but for magic. Magic damage is by far the most annoying thing in this game because there's no blocking it, evading it or even moving out of the way or kiting. It's just fucking bullshit. Not really, but musketeer 2 as a whole is really strong with covering fire 10 and the butt stroke attribute that doubles all your musket skill damage.

That was an older version of the game. Missile damage was a slight reduction against all monster sizes, which was mitigated as the bow was improved.

The way it works now is that missle attacks apply a stacking pDef reduction, so as long as you keep on a target your damage will creep up.

Fuck that, here's how you get high mdef:

Step 1: Roll Cryo/Thaum2, more ranks in Cryo and Thaum can be taken if so desired
Step 2: Get a high level shield, preferably the new one with 300 something mdef and enhance it to 15+
Step 3: Transcend it to +275% def
Step 4: Get 8 lvl10 Nuaele cards
Step 5: Enchant your top/bottom/shield for a total of 15% more mdef
Step 6: Cast Swell Right Arm with maxed attributes

And there ya go, you're a walking tank that takes 1 dmg from everything except Blood Curse and Dethrone.

Pyro2/3 is worthless with Linker2/3. The only way to make a Pyro2/3 that's viable without Linker2/3 is by going Pyro3/Chrono3/Enchanter. Pyro is REALLY bad without Linker and Pyro without Linker but with Sage is a fucking joke. Fireballs are only good for killing single targets and that's assuming the melee don't knock your Fireballs away on bosses.

You need a level of Linker somewhere if you go Pyro or Featherfoot. Additionally, Featherfoot pretty much requires Wizard 2 (though if you're going Wizard 2, you may as well go Wizard 3).

You can't realistically go Pyromancer and Featherfoot, it just doesn't work well.
If you want Pyro then go linker into Enchanter (a rank of Thaumaturge works wonders too).
If you want Featherfoot then it's Wiz 3, Thaumaturge, Linker and Featherfoot 2 (thaum 2 for PVP, linker 2 for PVE).

It works fine, all you really miss out on is being able to use Blood Sucking on archers and casters. If you need the healing you can use Sleep or Fire Pillar. With FF2, 1 or 2 ticks of Blood Sucking after Hangman's Knot is all you need for a full heal. Agni's going to make the build a lot smoother, too.

I have ranks in Pyro and Featherfoot. It doesn't work fine. It has way too much situational damage and without linker you end up constantly running into mobs where half of your abilities are useless or just not very effective.

You'll still benefit massively from Wizard 3 as Featherfoot. Blood Sucking is insanely good and only being able to use it once every 2 minutes is shit.

Would this work? Zornhau goes up a lot at max level and the new attribute makes it do 300% more damage. Even if it is a fake hit, that's a lot if you look at the base damage of 4k, meaning 12k with a 15 second cooldown. The new skills can go as high as 7k and 6k, one ignoring defense by 350 (most mobs at 330 have like 500 defense).

I think I will try this after getting all the Deep Cut attributes and resetting.

Well the build has it. I mean the base damage increase per skill point is like 150 per skill? Maxed out it would be 1k. I hear it's 8 to 10 hits with the attribute? Just to be adequete you need 13m in attributes alone for your simple rotation.

A circle in pardoner is pretty popular with pd2. Otherwise Pardoner is too situational support imo. Clerics cant take advantage of debuff extension on their own besides as pd2, mdef buff is not very good iirc, a circle in priest for resurrection is better than the emergency heal and most people's r5 are taken up by the second or third circle for their class(priest/krivis/diev)
