the war sphinxes were warrior-servant hardware, as are the guardians, as are all the prometheans we fight as well as their weapons. the mantle's approach is a warrior-servant's battleship. requiem was a warrior-servant installation.

the hard edges and angular style with lots of sharp, floaty bits are hallmarks of the warrior servant aesthetic, as opposed to places like the halo rings, the ark, and genesis- which favor smooth and round shapes, cyclic designs, and integration with natural features- are all Builder installations, with their aesthetic and architecture informing their design

the difference in styles makes perfect sense when you consider one group is military and the other is civilian. Houses and museums don't have the same design cues as zumwalt destroyers or f22 raptors.

I'd like to see classic elites and Jackals ALONGSIDE the new ones.

The forerunner one hits hard though, I think they're committed to the stupid grey and white floating plastic style.

It's a shame, because at one point, it was clearly looking good, but it never turned out well in 4 or 5 in my Opinion.

So I've been browsing the H5 Forge PC files and I found the Sticky Detonator in there. Textures are exactly the same as the H4 version, so it could just be a leftover/placeholder from development they forgot to remove, but otherwise it's promising to see it there.

Halo 4 was Halo CE as in Master Chief discover Forerunner world.
Halo 5 was Halo 2 where you played as Chief and a new character.
Halo 6 will have player character be Chief the entire game and Brutes will be one of the game's main antagonist.

I liked the Halo 3 Brutes the best, the rest was well, just wasn't all that great. Halo 2 was unfinished, ODST lost the cool encounters they had in Halo 3, and Reach... Now 343 plans to bring them back, well if anything I hope they only take inspiration from Halo 2 and 3 on how Brutes should act and fight even though I have a bad feeling that Elites will still be more fun to fight in the end.
