I don't feel like there's any sense of real balance with the maps to be honest. There's so many passageways that either lead nowhere or dont do anything. And then if you're unlucky to get a wide open map and you're a close range hero, you're kinda screwed.

You'll want Healing Rain IV to super heal yourself and your tanks. Gale is also a really good card. You'll probably also want Outreach to at least II to have decent radius. Grohk requires you to get in the line of fire unlike Ying but he's pretty good.

The problem with Skye is that she has no plan B, and few options to engage. If a flank attempt goes poorly she can't reliably defend herself or escape, if she is spotted she is dead. When moving in she can't take routes that the other three can because she's grounded and has no mobility skills. Skye is all risk with no real significant upside. She lacks the tools, slipperiness, resilience, and dueling power all other Flankers have. She is a completely gimped character and honestly I think should be reworked.

Skye needs a full-on rework.

The issue with characters like Skye (and her predecessor, Loki) is that they're very binary: either you notice them and they're useless, or you don't and they melt you in 1.5 seconds. In low-level games, stealth is too strong, and in high-level games, it's too predictable. If she stays as is, all she'll ever be is a pubstomper.

To keep her stealth, she needs to move away from the "kills you instantly" niche. I propose that she instead moves into utility.

Kinessa will get harassed and be perpetually preoccupied with Skye, but she has a decent chance of 1v1ing her, if she has any idea where she is. And even if she buys Illuminate, Skye's new mobility and high range still lets her be somewhat of an annoyance.

if there are 4 the one furthest away (but still in range) gets ignored by the ult

That's a lag issue, not a hitbox issue. Also kill cams are fucked beyond belief. Paladins might have large hitboxes but the headshot hitboxes are pretty accurate.

I hate Grover player more than Kinessa one. With Kinessa you know that they have a big chance to be bad, but you can compensate for their lack of DPS because all champions can deal damage, so you just need to pick a bit more agressive loadout.
For Grover player you never know if they will go on the point and heal or just play like fucking sniper and let their frontline die because they don't want to go near the objective. You can compensate for a lack of DPS with an average team comp, it's impossible to compensate for a lack of healing if you don't have 2 supports in your team.

I tried playing Kinessa today to level up her to lvl 4 and I'm wondering, how the fuck people are so bad at her.
Its pretty easy to hit with her, her sniper rifle deals insane damage, cancer mines help a lot at the point and carbine mode melts characters with bigger hitboxes like buck or BK because you hit all the shots easily.

What the fuck, I was lied to.

Does Kinessa's ultimate affect her carbine? If it does then combining it with multi hit mine would give her almost 1.8k dps

I am super inconsistent with aiming in general in video games, especially as sniper archetypes. Sometimes I can air-box as Drogoz against Androxus, other times I can't hit a still target, that's why I suck at playing Kinessa as a pure sniper.

The thing about Kinessa, however, is that she actually functions super well at medium range in the hands of a decent player. Set them up with a charged sniper shot and knock them down with the Carbine and an oppressor mine. The issue is that 90% of players play her EXCLUSIVELY as a backline sniper, then get assfucked by the enemy Andro/Skye/Buck/Evie/Drogoz. FPS players these days rely too much on shooting and not enough on movement, even though movement is at least half the shooter experience.

80% of the characters in the game can kill you before you kill them. Drogoz will fly at you and kill you in two rockets, Cassie kills you in one combo, Buck will jump at you and do Buck things. Fernando can literally just WM1 at you and kill you and you can't get away if he invested in movement speed cards.

She's situationally good on a few maps (like Timber Mill), though.

I like the idea. He could be the melee champion. Give him an interesting attack progression on his primary, projectile parry that does melee damage as secondary, a lunge with a low cooldown (maybe allowing a second lunge within x seconds if it hits) musket with knockback on q and his ult makes him stab at high speed in an aoe in front of him for a few seconds. Make sure to get a good Minessa build before trying it. The mines are the crux of everything, and you can't just go full retard and run head-on into a Drogoz. I don't play Dota, but why does Riki break this mold? What seperates him from stuff like Eve/Skye/Nova/Zeratul/Loki/whateverstealthcharacter? I know that Spy from TF2 feels balanced because he can only instagib you in a very specific way (from behind), and Pyros are very common in low-level games, so he doesn't run rampant.

I always felt like Riki seems okay because he seems to just be a little bullshit in a sea of other bullshit where heroes can just teleport to your character from all over the map anyways. But then that wouldn't really be able to apply to stuff like Paladins.

In reality it's less size reduction, more just making them more accurate to the actual models. If you miss a shot on your screen, you shouldn't be rewarded with damage as if you had hit it.

I'm 1800 Elo and yeah, my matches have Elo between 1300 and 1800. It's nuts. Weirdly, according to Paladins.guru, I am in the top:
