I farmed plenty of boxes in summer and while I don't have as much time this Halloween. Summer had increased drop rate for anything above grey. Even the worst boxes had 3 blue and one grey. I got plenty of legendaries for regular and summer skins. Around a 100 boxes I got almost everything.

Now Halloween seems to have the exact drop rates as the normal boxes. Most of them are 3 grey one blue. It seems they system SLIGHTLY favors Halloween themed items on purple and gold. While in summer most of my rares were summer themed ones on Halloween it seems 1/3 of my golds were Halloween themed but since legendary drops are seemingly as rare as normal... you don't get many chances.

At least I lucked out Mercy and Reaper so far. Plenty of RIPs and the Soldier skin from around 30 boxes.

Gunslinger should be near the center of the map on the bridge, he won't ever be affected by damage falloff and being closer helps headshot aim, and where he is still in range of Alchemist Q and only needs to combat roll back to Q anything.

There's no synergy between Soldier and Gunslinger. Gunslinger should and will consistently outperform Soldier even though he's taking the time to Deadeye elites.

Soldier should closer to the door than Gunslinger because he won't struggle with damage falloff and should be burst firing heads and using his ult frequently. His best use is his biotic field as a health battery backup if Junkenstein's Monster gets a bit out of hand and a last ditch helix missile snipe on a tire or zombic that's somehow almost going to get to the door.

Archer should take the stairs for the left lane where he the Zombics and Zombadiers in the left lane line up for headshots (and the left lane tire takes no effort to arrow this way) and the right lane also lines up for headshots as they exit the right cubby in a spot perpendicular to the top of the left lane stairs. He's also in a perfect spot to headshot anything that's lingering behind the cart. Archer has no reason to be near the others so he's the best on the far left for this reason. Archer has the most zombic/zombadier killing potential because he can one-shot every ~.85 seconds without ever pausing for reloading and so he should have the highest kill count. Finally, he can ult any lane or Junkenstein's perch using the stairs and he should be getting an ult every 14 seconds or so, and be using it just as frequently.

Alchemist kills anything in the same easy 3 shots regardless of distance, and she always wants LoS for healing the others, so she's best up on the back right platform, especially since it makes lobbing and landing sleep darts and biotic grenades very easy as nothing ever gets in her face to block her.

I've beaten hard on all 4 heroes as a personal challenge.

If you want to fix Tactical Visor in a reasonable way, get rid of its damage falloff with distance, and maybe have it lock onto heads at point blank range. Deadeye doesn't have damage falloff, and if you're up close you get better DPS manually aiming for faces in many circumstances.

that's not how it works exactly
McCree builds damage for every moment they're in vision. The circle closes proportional to the %amount of health the shot will take from the targets current health pool. It becomes a skull if it will kill them. Only barriers/shields/deflect/defense matrix and other things that will intercept a bullet will stop the damage from being lethal when it says it is. The damage he deals (and thus the circle size and time you wait to have a skull) is changed by mercy/ana damage boost, as well as Discord.

Mei does not freeze people faster
Symmetra does not charge-up her gun faster

Something I will add to your mecreed explanation is one time I was using dead eye, and it locked-on rather quickly on a particular enemy. I later saw in the potg that our team's reaper was using his ult near the same person I was targeting. So what I got from that experience is that if a target has low health, the lock-on will work faster - where someone with one health will be locked-on instantly.
