raven's oki fireball should be effected by his excitement gauge. it would give raven players a reason to play neutral and mess around with his boner mechanic.

right now the fireball is active for 60 frames and a total of 3 hits. for comparison millia's hs disk is active for 34 frames and 2 hits.

you can literally just mash the chain, it's got the same invincibility as his other lvl 3 supers and actually comes out slightly faster, and every single step of the combo is heavily + on block and you can even cancel the last few hits into any move which means that you get free pressure/mixups if they block it as well as some pretty huge block/chip damage just for doing most of the combo

You can keep your combos short but you have to be solid with mist cancels. Your pressure and harassing with pokes rely on always either mist cancelling or confirming into mist finer. Also learn to get coins of knockdown and in combos. It is vital in neutral and pressure to at least have level 2.

The thing is he's not good at the highest level though. Only as a mid-high player vs. other mid high players is he insane as they'll let you get away with puddle summons, don't blitz unblockables, don't keep track of eddie, etc.
At the highest level players are super good at killing Eddie and Zato is seriously half a character without him.
Have you seen his hitboxes? Straight garbage. He also has 0 defensive options without meter when under pressure and low health. Lots of characters like Chipp, Millia, and Ino just run him over.
Don't take my word for it though just watch long sets of top players like topgaren vs. Daru or E.T. to see what I mean.

he's a simple character to play. he just really requiers lab time to work out a bunch of combo routes for weird situations and based on what you want (coins vs meter vs damage vs stability/knockdown).

the basic ones have all 4 pretty optimized, but they streamline your resource management and reward, so in unforeseen situations, like when you're out of coins mid-combo and your combo starts with your back to the corner, your basic knowledge of routes fails you here. the "difficulty" comes with optimizing stuff and then optimizing stuff based on what you personally want or what would fit some specific situation.
