Ok I played the game 3 days after returning. This isn't meant to be doom posting. Just to note I have no: Blessed shards, no boss cards etc.

Couldn't do anything. All quests bugged. No grind parties for Storage looking for my classes (people still shout for tanks, taunts, chronos ONLY). Logged off tired and bored. Too much shit to do. Wasted most of my time running the same fucking dungeons I ran back when I quit 4 months ago. Nothing has changed except some people just have bigger weapons now and I need to somehow farm 600 cards. I also have to run Saalus for a billion times and there's no groups. Depressing.

They fixed quests. I guess I'll finish all those missing dungeon runs before the dungeons reset to get some boss cards because I have 7 empty slots on 4 charact- "SERVER IS GOING DOWN TO MAINTENANCE IN 50 MINUTES" oh... well, I'll run as many as I can. Maintenance happens and it goes over the dungeon reset.

2 hours later... After maintenance... go and queue up for Siaul with my level 256. It's now 4 pm during the day so prime time.

Takes 35+ minutes to get a party. The runs go fast but I waste 1 hour and 40 minutes on doing 3 missions. Got no Glass Mole cards so it was a waste of my time. Logout the 256 character, login 280 character. Spend the next 1.5 hours running old dungeons for cash and cards. Get 1 card and talt. Feel depressed there's nothing else to do in the game.

Login fresh new character I made. People buzzing everywhere. I'm having sort of fun? I don't know. I'm making a Doppel as 2:1 DEX build, but I have no clue if this build works so I keep asking myself is it worth even doing this time investment? Again?

It's very dependent on latency. PvP is fully dependent on latency.

Klaipeda is the US main server and it doesn't have any more players then the EU server, but this general is 90% US so they always try to steer new people to their server.

You go and make your own party. Go there, scout the map, see if there's an empty channel, make a party a shout for people. You'll get people.

You don't run dungeons unless they're the good exp ones AND you're within the level range. You rush the ones with good drops, and that's usually only the 200, 217, and 130. There are enough cards to get to 130 with no grind, a small cap between 130~187 that can be filled with maybe 5 days of siauliai missions, and enough to go to 250 from there. You don't do that though, you stop at 211(sooner now with expanded exp range), grind Alemeth until it's not good anymore, then card a bit more, grind EVAC, card a litlte more, and you're now at the range for the new maps. That's it.

I am still a firm believe that STR is an useless stat, but for a Doppel I suppose it's okay IF you're not planning on PvPing on it, ever.

Basically, you don't want to get out there and actually interact with players. You want to queue in and have a streamlined, single player experience from instanced content alone. You want AND LIKE the daily count system, and wish everything could be handed to you just by completing daily missions. You like this modern MMO crap model.

Rank8 is everything this game needed. Granted, it'd have been 100x better if instead of HP sponges and unavoidable damage, mobs were smarter instead, but it gave us something that was lacking: Difficulty. The game up until this point was piss-easy since even Cryo3Chrono3s would solo quest, albeit with a small margin of difficulty. Now you can't, you need to actually interact with people, use networking, and party up just to do some quests. There's no way this can't be viewed as a good thing.

You should just make a PvP character, then you'll have a long-term purpose, such as actually gitting gud enough so that you won't lose fights you could have otherwise won.

I was naive thinking that I could ask you something thinking I wouldn't get salt instead. Also, the reason you got no Silver has nothing to do with barry, it's because you refused to adapt and diversity your income, so you're stuck with complaining that you're entitled profit from doing repairs. Until IMC makes it so that crafting classes scale with STATS, nobody is going to make a profit. The only way to be competitive when you can't make your service better than the other guy's is to undercut, it's a base design flaw that anyone could see before the game was released, even.

I expected nothing and I was still disappointed. Regardless, the only thing in your kit that has the potential of doing any damage is Umbo/Rim Blow, because of the High Guard attributes. I was told that Concentrated Fire is better that Wild Shot because its number of hits scale with levels. Caracole is mostly used for the skid back effect so you only put one point on it, though the new Reduce Skid attribute makes it more useful than before. The priority now seems to be Marching Fire>Retreat Shot>Limacon = Concentrated Fire> Wild Shot > Caracole. Maybe a SRfag can tell you more.

Potions, crafts, enchants, repairs. Everything should be scaling off stats. That way, players can specialize in specific craft types, effectively enabling them to be competitive outside of "Mine are cheaper than the guy next to me".

Yeah, went testing it a bit on some mobs and the 180% boost seems to be about right, which is great went you consider how insane r8 mobs are

On another note, I think I'm starting to understand what the sword3 doppel3 meme was all about. While mine is fairly underlevelled, Cyclone can't seem to kill these r8 mobs fast enough, unless you're Devil and have shitloads of money spent in atts and transcendence/refinement. If you're entirely reliant on it, you'll probably have a hard time there, Restrain would make this much easier, yeah.

I believe Redel/Zucken/Zornhau with their atts should be enough burst to kill pretty much any mob you're facing, but like I said, I only got Redel's att so far.

Nah they just need better shit you could do. Like if Alchs had shops instead of using market, and they could only put in 4 kinds of potions. They'd all do HP and SP, but you'd get to see the other types of potions to and different people could sell different ones, assuming IMC made them worthwhile to make. So you'd have roasting shops, potion shops, and then make briquetting not shit so you could have briquetting shops too. Awakening is also too hard to do as a service and get paid for it, so it could have some sort of shop-like thing that still allowed the alch to go in if they wanted.

Potions need to stack so they can't scale off anything but levels, but magnum opus should be able to make other types like those combined hp/sp potions and stronger hp/sp potions, so those who invested time could sell even more kinds of potions in their 4 slot shop.

Repairs do have different levels at least so there are differences and you can set up in a place where you're basically alone so they're fine. Other shops will eventually run out of mats too, but players would probably wait with their red items until the others restocked, like the niggards they are. Weapon and armor maint maybe could scale with something though.

Pardoners: same way as alchs, make them able to sell lots of different useful things instead of being blessing and aspersion distributors. Even just selling the skill scrolls through a shop would be better. Even just let them sell the mdef increasing spell.

That's one good thing about player shops vs market: You have to go around and compare prices instead of just searching for the lowest price on a board. If someone is just too lazy, then they'll just buy something not ridiculous priced.

Another tip: You're able to cancel Redel's animation locking midway by just walking and then use another skill, like Zucken(need to see if it also has an animation cancel, I thought it had but I can't seem to do it right now)/Zornhau/Cyclone, so you could Zwerchhau, cleave, redel, cancel into zucken, maybe cancel into zornhau/cyclone

I'm the one he was replying. My build is SwC1 - High C3 - Barb C1 - Doppel C1 at the moment. As for the stats, Total 40 CON, rest STR and DEX. More STR than DEX. CON is mostly for HP and survivability, DEX for Crit Rate, and STR for Physical Attack and Deeds scaling.

I will post my skill build later.

High1Barb3Doppel3. Had a highlander3 since EA and it felt underwhelmning outside Cyclone (That one was 1:2 str dex), so I wanted to try something else. Barb feels really nice and complements Doppel well imo.

Went High STR for roleplaying purposes and deeds, I kinda enjoy the "high risk high reward" motif the class has, killing mobs while I'm red is satisfying to me

A heads up, some have claimed you can have the attributes stay active after a skill reset. So getting Zornhau, Redel and Zucken to 6, buying the attributes and then resetting and maxing out Cyclone is what is said to work.

There is a necklace in Korean version that massively amplifies fire damage abilities. Think it's called Agni Necklace or something.
I know it's around a 400% boost for Pyromancer spells and like a 200% boost for Elementalist spells.

R8 and the new mobs made me realize that Sorc3 actually does decently well against them.
Mdef is so ridiculous at times that I deal 1 damage to mobs, but TS still keeps chugging on with 8k+ volleys.
With JP 5 that's 40-50k a shot, and it can tank well enough and be buffed with Missile Hole.
I've become a support for my summon, and I'm having fun.

The best part is that the ping differences between most of EU and NA servers for EU players is about 20-50 ms depending on how far inland you live. The servers are on the East coast for once so you dont have that mega distance that most companies force on us EU players. I get about 120-170 on average from france for example, on the NA server and about 60-110 on the EU server, so its not really bad at all for me.

Not him but I'll add to this. I live in Finland and I get an average of 60 to 80 ms on the European server and over 200 ms on the American server. The server is located in Germany as far as I know so I don't know how someone living in France can get pings like that.

Regardless I think timezone is very important now. If you join the American server you'll have to stay up past midnight to join grind groups because the people who play on the US server are from all over of America. It's not really ideal if you want to do dungeons and grind and this game is heavily team based.

PvP is very reliant on ping. If you don't mind seeing teleporting players on top of bad performance issues and unstable servers then US is for you. If you want to stay competitive and play classes that have a lot of low cooldown abilities (Archers, Swords) then ping matters, quit a lot.

Huge ping adds delays everywhere. Animations last a fraction longer and if you have overcharges in skills you won't be able to perform multiple casts really fast. It can get very infuriating in a game as competitive as TOS.

Easiest way to play right now is quest as a party and exploit exploration bonus for massive exp. All the new cards (minus kill counts) are enough to go from 280 to 330 without needing to grind once.

Questing isn't even hard since 80% of the new quests are just interact with shit and can be done really quickly.

I think I replied to you yesterday about grinding in early levels. Just a heads up, I hope you did the level 50 dungeon. No joke 3x runs (if you got a token) will get you up to 70+. The entrance is in Tenet Garden and there's another entrance in Novaha too. Do it, you won't regret it.

Also if you are new there are quest lines on both sides, Orsha and Klaipeda. Many here will say it's not worth it to do both but note that Orsha side quests give silver and a lot of exp.

Basically there are 2 quest routes that meet up at various points but one starts from Klaipedia and another from Orsha. They both meet up in Fedimian town at level 100. If you do both routes you will end up level 130 easily in 2 to 3 days. That's being lazy and ignoring dungeons.

15% MDEF is nothing when mobs HIT FOR 5K DAMAGE. Even with the best armor in the game, you will never be able to reduce that magic damage by any significant amount.

They're also the worst vendor in the game. Enchants last an entire day and cannot ever be removed by anything so if people even bother using them, they'll use them once a day and you'll pocket your 50 silver.

Enchanters ARE shit because they were a rushed last minute addition. Taoist was originally the rank 8 wizard class, but IMC changed it to cleric and had to fill the gap with something. So we got Enchanter.

At this point the only way for IMC to save Enchanter is to redesign the class. Maybe give it the Centurion treatment and remove it for something else and then readd it later as a 1 rank hidden class.

Agility doesn't do anything. The effect on it is so stupidly weak even in the most ideal situations it translates into about a 1 in 300 chance of avoiding an attack.

Empowering is useless. The level gap was increased to 20 so +5 effective levels means nothing.

Enchant Lightning is their only good ability. It's shit on it's own because 500 damage at rank 8 is nothing.
It's only highly situationally useful in a party with a Taoist. But the AOE on Enchant Lightning is so tiny you got to make sure people group up to use it.

Crafting Scrolls is useless for anyone but a Linker to take for Joint Penalty (the only useful scroll Enchanters can make).

Enchant Armor has one barely useful effect and another highly situational.

You can upgrade jewelry, also there are Nuaele cards. I don't know if they stack, but if they do, that's up to 80% extra mdef and the 15% mdef from enchantment, then there's the specific anti-jewelry which will nullify like more than half of certain damage types.

They're probably a cryo and thaum. cryo gets extra mdef from shields, combine that with one of those shields that has like 100 mdef too, and thaum gives a few hundred mdef with a shield.

It multiplies drops. As in, if you have 3 runs left, a boss drops 3 cubes. Likewise, you'd get 3x exp and 3x gold.

It's essentially just doing all of your dungeon runs in one run instead of individually.

With the new tome changes to exp gained in Korea, this and and 8x tome, you can get like 30 mission runs with 1 8x tome for something insane like 200 million exp. 1 to 330 in a few days will be easily possible on Korea now (if you pay).

Malleus cuts a targets INT and SPR in half, but that doesn't automatically mean Magic Attack cut in half, as monsters still have raw Matk sources, and players have gear like wands/maces.
The PVE silence attribute of Malleus does not scale with the attribute level
The debuff from Malleus does not lower the damage of activated Pears
Pears will activate on a magic based basic attack from monsters

If R9 and R10 were to simultaneously be released right now, I can skip R9 and be R10 right away. Heck, while I've done all the exploring bits, I haven't finished all the quests yet.

i finished this quest pretty easy
did it on day 1 too (after it was fixed ofc)
i spammed shout until i found 4 people, then i power-quested them to the boss quest
bosses spawn, i tell party to only focus on 1 while i aggro the other and run in a circle
>boss #1 dies easily, boss #2 for some reason slays 3/5 people.
>me and the healer left, neither of us considered decent dps, takes 10 mins to finish off the last 10% of his health
tl;dr just have 1 person run in a circle and distract one of them
