Your favorite classes and weapon loadouts you use. Last thread I got some interesting answers.

Engineer:
A: Gunman
>Widowmaker, Pistol, Gunslinger
Pretty much self-explanatory. Drop a Mini to somewhere hard to see, like just behind a wall then go outside and lure people in Mini-Sentry's sight to deal more damage to them for returning more metal per shot. When you're outta metal, you'll still have your Pistol and wrecked remainings of your Mini to supply metal.

B: Jagger
>Frontier Justice, Short Circuit, The Jag
The trick here is leveling up your sentry just once up to 2, then hauling it to redeploy ahead behind a cover and upgrade it to lvl3 when you plan on holding for long. In any case you expect your sentry to get destroyed since Jag can not outrepair damage incurred or drop a sapper in time, that's where FJ comes to the equation.

C: Classic
>Shotgun/Rescue Ranger, Wrangler, Southern Hospitality
Keep in mind even if RR/W combo is fun, RR is really weak against Spy. SH can refrain them from sneaking around but still you need to chase them with your shotgun. When you feel like you need to do something about Spy or enemy team is pushing, then it's time to swap for stock Shotgun.

If I don't kill them at first with the rifle, then the SMG comes out and lands a couple shots. I'm decent with tracking with it anyways.

B: Bowman
>Huntsman, Various, Stock
I usually pair the Huntsman up with either an SMG or the Cozy Camper depending on how the team's playing and what they have. The regen on the Camper is really good if you're just getting chipped here and there.

C: For Fun
>Classic, Cleaner's Carbine, Tribal Man's Shiv
I really like using the Classic, it feels really refreshing to get a gibbed kill on someone. I usually pair it up with the Carbine so that I can boost the rifle to do more damage or the Shiv, which can be pretty good with minicrits.

D: Support
>Sydney Sleeper, Cleaner's Carbine, Bushwacka
Mostly if their team is crowding up a bunch and we've got a couple Demos/Soldiers. Works alright on Payload and KOTH maps.

airblast is a terrible mechanic and will never work in the confines of tf2.

meanwhile, the base flamethrower (without airblast) is one of the best weapons for a game like tf2.

pyro does not require intense aiming skill like a sniper, but you need game sense to get close and do damage. You have to outsmart your opponents (assuming you dont have the airblast)

if valve adds a new flamethrower for the pyro, I hope they make it about napalm and have no airblast altogether

Maybe 1 out of 20 matches gets a rematch. All the other times it's just wasted time. Manually quitting and signing up for the next match is faster even without it, because of the post match screen. Like 50% of people just disconnect after matches, because everything else is just fucking tedious. Watch them take a fucking year to admit that to themselves.

Does anyone else get big FPS drops when playing pyro? I know it's not my computer, it's far overqualified to run tf2. But I can hardly ever play pyro because any time I light someone up I drop to like 15fps. I don't know what to do about it.

It already is it's own type of weapon with the resistance switching. It certainly takes a lot more skill then just waiting for someone to tell you when to pop uber/kritz. It's sad that the medigun with the highest skill ceiling is also the most underpowered medigun.

3.5, I've never had a problem before. Been playing for years and even back when I was on a toaster/laptop I didn't have an issue like this one. It's just bizarre.

By the way, it's only when I light someone on fire. Other pyros don't cause this. There are zero fps drops from spraying fire at nothing, or from people only burning, or even from other pyros lighting people up. It's solely when I hit someone with flames and it stops when I let go of m1.
