How do I have fun on this game? I'm only playing again because of the halloween update but I don't get the appeal, this game is so catered to casuals it hurts.

It's so hard to punish players for playing poorly because of how many anti-fun safety nets there are, especially in pubs when you're playing by yourself.

I think my favorite part of the new brawl is Reinhardt's excellent Ghost Host impression. He's no Paul Frees, but the sardonic delight with which he delivers his lines is positively delicious.

the elite mob spawns are, in order:
reaper
road hog
junkrat with reaper soon after
reaper again
road hog + junkrat + mercy

everyone has a job

Hanzo

>ults/focuses junkrat when he is alive

Soldier
>is the guardian of the door
>focus whatever is closest to it
It's good for him to set up on the upper right area near spawn, since he can keep the door in his peripheral vision a lot

Ana
>puts elite mobs to sleep, prioritizing reaper and road hog
>ults mcree immediately after putting an elite mob to sleep
>prevents road hog from healing
>keeps mcree alive during deadeye
>keeps party alive

McCree
>must do enough damage to have ult up when needed
>ults every elite enemy on the map

If you fuck up or are fighting road hog the initial ulted deadeye burst, save flashbangs and sleep darts for when the elite ults

Reaper always teleports to the front of the bridge, giving Ana a braindead sleep dart. He goes down in one deadeye quite easily with Ana ult.
Roadhog will spawn to the right of the dumpster at the end of the bridge. Apply the same strategy here, and try to finish him off quickly.
Junkrat spawns first on his own, but is closely followed by reaper. Wait for reaper, sleep dart reaper, and have mcree deadeye both of them.
The lone reaper after that can be taken out with sleep dart + deadeye. Ana will probably not have her ult up. If your mcree isn't shit, he'll have his ult back by the time of the mercy wave.
For the mercy wave, sleep dart road hog, and hit all the elites with ana ulted deadeye. Focus mercy if she still lives, then have hanzo focus junkrat and the rest, road hog.
