Street Fighter V's steam numbers are padded. When they take the servers down there is always ~450 concurrent players that stick around. No more no less. This has happened every time. The only occurrence of it dropping lower is when Steam bottoms out due to error, in that case it says zero then quickly pops back up.

You can set up custom matches. Overwatch was sold for $40 and it works just fine for what it was marketed as. It looks good. It sounds good. It runs well. The gameplay is polished. Heroes play differently. Even if you're not a fan of the game, you'll atleast admit Blizzard did a decent job actually delivering what they promised? All their patch content is also free, from characters to stages to costumes.

SFV, you paid $60 and for the first weeks online wasn't even working. And now even after 8 months, netcode is still wonky as fuck and lobbies are still closed down and boring. Overwatch succeeded at being what it wanted. SFV didn't. That's the fundamental difference between the two.

Hell, I'm not even a big fan of OW. I play SFV more. But I can understand why people are more willing to tolerate Blizzard than Capcom at the moment. Just look at the Halloween update if you want to compare. I received a small patch while playing the game and suddenly OW is in Halloween mode. New minigames and costumes and themes all for free. SFV Halloween update? Well first let's take the servers offline for 12 hours and then please buy these costumes for $4 each.

They obviously care more about those damned costumes than fixing the actual fucking game.
