I don't know if it's really something particular to this generation of players or just that scrub games are designed around it already existing, but there's something really depressing about watching people play fighting games with the attitude that they're just supposed to handed "a turn".

That's what kills me about SFV, you can't press advantages because the game has been designed to hand the defender an opening with absolutely no work. Then people go play other games and go "well I didn't get a chance to do my blockstring I give up" and complain people didn't give them a chance to practice their offense instead of learning how to play defense.

I feel you on this where players want "a turn", it seems to become a thing where people complain about "not being able to play" cause a better opponent is shitting on them hard, I've seen it here too, I swear the other day some guy was complaining about this in either GG or BB where he would get mad when facing opponents because they wouldn't let him do anything and that he doesn't learn anything from it. It just so weird to see that type of complaint especially with these games, anytime I get into a new fighting game I expect to get fucking shit on and my opponent not hold anything back.

I think the only game that actually upset me about that was Skullgirls, but i went into that game with a negative attitude already so I really dont complain about it too much

The next Team Blue fighter will probably be sprites. Xrd was even harder to do than sprites so it's not a cost effective thing, and they went with 3D to seperate themselves from BB, so they might not make another game with 3D right after to be different again. BB sprites are slmost a decade old do by the time they dtarted working on their next fighter they'll be able to make much better sprites than BB

Definitely focus on one character, too much depth in this game to have sub characters. From what ive heard may is a lot harder then jam. Pick whoever is more fun or cute honestly.
Make sure to secure the knockdown, that is the most important thing in guilty gear. It takes a lot of practice but eventually youll get the hang of it.

Because he's bad. Anti airing in 3S is kinda like anti airing in anime games, you have to guess whether they are going to parry or do jump in attack and kinda alternate your AA timings or AA approach (parry yourself etc). I haven't played the game for like 5-6 years but I remember more focusing on just parrying when people would jump in on me and then counterattacking or jump instant ex tatsu.

Watching John Takeuchi play was a treat. The way he enacted his plan to push the opponent to the corner and just harass them with pokes/frame traps and punish escape attempts was nice.

Without a parry and good aegis setups, Urien in SF5 can't deal with jumps and does no damage.

Seeing as how movement in SF5 is essentially like 3s anyway with how good dashes are, I hope they'll just add parries and side swap unblockables in an update.
