First of all Coops are not social links.

Second, Goro liked Joker because Morgana sees it, are you to dispute Morgana who is essentially Igor? But that doesn't stop Goro from trying to kill Joker because he doesn't see affection the same way a normal person does. He's gone way too far to back down because of sentiment, but he acknowledges that he would have been different if he met Joker a few years earlier.

Joker understood Goro because every time the coop ranks up, it's because Goro tells him the truth about himself and his intentions. Besides, the PT figured out the traitor was Goro long before the betrayal.

Essentially you have to ask all this because you haven't played the game, haven't followed any conversations on this topic, and don't read Japanese.

I'd love to read this fic

Why are wild card characters that aren't the protagonist never fully explored? Aigis got the wild card purely mostly as a gameplay convenient plot device (playing most of the answer with purely palladion/athena would've been boring) and arena/ultimax treat her mostly as Chariot rather than fool or a wildcard. Sho is a fucking spinoff character that gets the wild card at the last moment and he will most likely never be relevant ever again. Goro could've made an interesting wild card rival character that doesn't have everything served in a gold plate to succeed but he's fucking dead.
Will we ever get a proper second wild card character that can make a good rival to the protagonist that at least stays alive or stays relevant?

The genderswap thing is pretty poorly handled, since the author didn't even change Goro's name or speaking mannerisms. Someone that focused on how he's viewed as an adult really shouldn't be using masculine pronouns as a girl.

It's kind of amazing how even gaf dropped the gay couple thing and has had pretty much nothing to say but good things about P5 since.
