It was "Start playing earlier to win". Because of the cap on earnables every week, that meant older players would ALWAYS be ahead of newer players. But that's not an issue anymore.

Also I think with the new system they nixed the earning of class specific costumes when you unlock all of their abilities. I'm glad I got the ones I wanted before this update.

I think early Wakfu was the worst of it. You can only have one profession/gathering skill so you had to constantly look for people to craft your shit/buy materials. Then everyone realized that crafted gear sucks so everyone became a farmer and baker.

Then the items were locked behind a party, where you need 6 people to just even have a chance of it dropping. Finding 6 people willing to grind for hours and hours for an item that YOU want with them not getting anything is just dumb.

In Revelation you can only have one type of expression. For example, only 1 MAD emote.
In Phantasy Star Online you have multiple and that goes for all emotes. Last time I played PSO2 there were over 100 emotes. I'm sure they've reached 200 emotes by now.

In Revelation you are stuck with the same hairstyle forever and it cost REAL money to change anything about your character.
In Phantasy Star Online there is a Beauty Salon, you can change your hairstyles at will, Outfits, hairstyles, etc. cost in-game currency meaning no real money is needed to buy anything, there are accessory slots that can be customized.

Both games have good fully customized housing system and guild/team area. I'm not sure if Revelation's housing system cost real money, but PSO2's housing content can be bought from the in game shop meaning no real money is needed.

No matter what you all say there is one thing you can not ignore and that's the fact that I could play PSO2 for 5 years and would only have spend money whenever I need Rare Star Passes.

In Revelation whenever I see a MUST HAVE outfit I gotta open my wallet. Whenever I want to grind more characters up to the soft cap efficiently I have to open my wallet. In the span of 5 years playing this game you will spent three to four times the amount of real money here than you would have to in PSO2.

That is FACT! Poorfags you don't stand a chance in Revelation environment. But you will live comfy in PSO2.
