Why must the Persona storylines be so linear anyway, except for the endings? I think it would have been interesting if P5 had split into two paths depending on how you treat Goro the whole game, if you treat him badly, the game would end up as we know it, and if you treat him well, everything after November would change, Goro would have become a permanent party member and survived the Palace.

It's a bit annoying how for a game that focuses on relationships, your choices don't really carry any consequences. I know stories with branching paths are quite complex but come on Atlus could make an effort. It's just like Catherine where the game outrights tells you "depending on your choices, the game's events will change" but turned out only the ending changed, which is super lame.

I think the thing that gets me the most is that there seems to be a big division between what Shidou wants to do as prime minister (which is never really made all that clear beyond 'it's probably evil') and why your team is fighting him.

Like, yeah, Shidou's corrupt as shit and Goro has to be stopped, but it feels like an afterthought to the main reason you're after him, which is to clear the protagonist's record. And, as you learn from Toranosuke's co-op story, it's immediately obvious that even without Shidou corruption is still rampant in the Japanese government, and the other Cognisance Science researchers and Special Investigations inspectors are going to do everything in their power to maintain their power.

Just saying, Shidou is popular for more reason than just because some opposition politicians got whacked by Goro.

If you don't mind me asking, there's been a lot of debate over some dialogue in the game, namely comments made by Anne and Morgana about nostalgia and feeling like they know each other, plus Ryuji's comment at the end about "feeling like they're in someone's dream again". What do you think about it?

I haven't been to the 2ch general for a good week or so but my impression was that the game is pretty good, but that Anne was cast too old and gaps between good Ryuji performances and bad ones are really intense.

As for the ending, it looks like people are still looking for more, because there's a lot left unsaid and that doesn't make sense.

I didn't see much discussion about the 'having met before' lines you describe, but the Sae co-op bonus, a suspicious regular at Leblanc who asks you questions about morality (and is standing outside the cafe on March 19), and the inability to get the Fool max co-op item make it very strange.

You don't make a thing called 'True Justice' and not have it mean something. And personally, I still think the ability to use Third Eye in the real world, in March, is tied to it. Third Eye is an ability given to you by the False Igor and only had any practical use in the Palace worlds, but can still be used after Yaldabaoth's defeat and the suppose destruction of Palaces and Mementos.
