Trying out tempo forest right now with only 2 ancient elves and 2 crystallia tias to not much luck. Feels like the deck is pretty reliant on the legends or it can't really apply enough pressure. Well first and foremost you definitely need the dancers. I'd say run elf mages over glimmering wings too just because you get a body along with the card draw which is more important for an aggro deck. Angelic Barrages are a good tech choice but if you're still low rank you probably don't need them yet. Gabriel is also fine, but I can't stress enough that 3x fairy dancers is mandatory for this deck.
Essentially you control the early game with sylvan justices, elf child mays, ancient elves and the metallurgist and then once you get the advantage you push for face damage. If a big board ever survives you drop the dancers to buff them, and you can continually bounce and drop dancers using nature's guidance to get big damage.
Knowing how to bounce is key. Playing roaches or dancers or mays then making a big old ancient elf is a huge power play. You also need to recognize when you have lethal with roaches and multiple bounces, which is probably the most complicated part of the deck.

Yeah there's a ladder. Ranking up gives you reward upon each new rank, usually 100 gold or a title.
There's also score reward. You get score for winning games, and when you reach certain thresholds you get rewards like gold or the dust equivalent or even arena tickets and card packs. And while your rank doesn't reset, the score rewards do every month instead so there's new incentive to go back on ladder even if you're Master rank.

People who think they're unplayable shit are just whiners, honestly. They're not nearly as good as other leggos but they're still perfectly playable.
Beast Dominator is literally always playable, especially if you evolve her: shitting out a giant threat like that isn't something that can just be ignored, so her downside isn't that relevant overall. A 6/6 that turns into a 4/6 is still well above the curve for 5, and if she survives longer than that, well, you're probably in really good shape. Either she gets killed or she helps quickly net you a win. And if you're an aggro blood deck focused one vengeance then she's just a very overstatted minion, which is great.
And Soul Dealer is incredibly risky against some decks but against control he can help you get to vengeance and a 6/4 for 4 is not too shabby either. But he REALLY should be a 4/6 instead like holy fuck come on guys.

Crystallia Tia played in the most optimal situation in combination with a Wandering Elf Mage on turn 4 is 9/9 stats on turn 5 across 4 bodies that can attack once naturally while still letting you use an evolve.

People complain about Otohime, but Tia plays are bonkers in comparison. And they get Cynthia which is a stronger body than Sage and has a special evolve effect. Cynthia and Tia can also work on turns 5-6 rather than the 6-7 of Otohime into Sage.

new player here. after like 8 arena tickets, all resulting in a only 1-2 wins, i finally got to 4 wins by playing havencraft for the FIRST time.

the 5 match was me losing to another havencraft who summoned like 4 guardian foxes and then rushed down seraph.

Other noteable 6-drop cards are Elf Knight Cynthia, Alwida, Sage Commander, Tsubaki, Calamitous Curse, Forte, Death's Breath, Moon Al-mi'raj, Garuda, and Themis's Decree. Not going to say which of those I think deserves the title of best but Themis's Decree is definitely up there. I honestly prefer Alwida over Otohime.

As for class, you should at least do the first stage of each class to get a feel of how each class goes before deciding. In all honesty, Shadowverse is actually pretty ok so each class is viable

Well, in HS, Warrior is known for being the control/combo archetype generally. They remove stuff again and again efficiently until they manage to get their win condition. But on the other hand recently HS Warriors were actually viable for Tempo and even Aggro decks recently.

I have not seen Control/Combo Forestcraft decks being played before so I wouldnt know if it has that generally similar playstyle
