What happens is this. We're all playing MGE. Elliott, me, Orbit, everyone. And there is a 9 year old on the server using the mic.

Rei joins, and that's when he just... starts being, well there's no other word for it, he starts being a mean bully.

Like, remember that kid who would cut in the lunchlines and beat kids for money? That guy was Rei.

And so this 9 year old sees us playing and joins up. He has to play Rei.

Rei just starts talking shit.

"What are you, fucking little kid or something? Get out of here and hit puberty. Learn to play MGE you fucking shitlord."

And then the kid is trying really hard because I think he looks up to Rei and stuff. But then like, Rei is just being a dick.

"I fucking raped you on spire and I'll fucking beat you up you little S H I T"

And so the rest of us are like... "dude... Rei, calm down man... it's just a video game..."

"S H U T T H E F U C K U P!"

Yeah, we were just getting all frazzled and stuff.

That's what happened.

Based Rei is a bully.

I know because I've personally been extensively cyber-bullied by him, even after telling him repeatedly to stop. Usually it'll start when I join badlands middle. First, he laughs at me. Then he uses the cow mangler against me and airshots me over and over again, while laughing over mic and telling me that he "Loves Shinji Ikari and Rei Ayanami forever." I don't know who Shinji Ikari is, but you should probably ban him too for bullying. Even though I tell him to stop, he continues laughing over mic and telling me I'm bad. After counter-jumping and cratehopping until he is victorious, BR UNO laughs and tells me that I'm bad and that I got "Monkey Businessed."

Even though I've implored him to stop and de-friended him numerous times, he continues to say things like "I stomped your crew like a true Fu," "Boo-boo's by Winnie the Fu," and "Go ahead and sue, you won't win against D. Fu."

in terms of sniper in general he's fine. medium speed, low health and minimal mobility limit his ability to access unfair sniping locations and the damage dealt with one uncharged headshot is only enough to kill light classes and medics, of those classes scouts are difficult to headshot, engineers are often playing defensively in a sentry nest inaccessible to snipers, medics should know better than to go into sniper sightlines anyway, and spies and enemy snipers are meant to counter snipers, and soldiers and demos can bomb a sniper. the only class that's really in bad shape against a sniper is heavy, and even then it takes two uncharged headshots to put him down assuming he doesn't have a medic. as far as weapons go, however, yeah, he needs work done. the danger shield is fucking retarded and needs a nerf as soon as possible and i don't need to explain why. the machina is a shit weapon for encouraging hardscoping bodyshots and a general camping playstyle that fits well with the danger shield. i'm not sure if i would call the razorback op, but i would call it overly centralized in highlander, so there should be something you can do about that. bazaar bargain in the hands of even a half decent sniper is basically a direct upgrade, there's no reason not to use it. then there's a lot of weapons that are just shit and see no use. cozy camper is trash after the nerf, both smg's see pretty much no use, i don't think i've ever seen anyone use the shahansha or tribalman's shiv, especially since the dead ringer buff for the latter, almost completely nullifying the effect of the weapon, mind you, and the poor fucking classic. i really want to like the classic, but god damn it sucks. the no-scopes are satisfying, but that's not enough to make a good weapon. so basically, with some weapon balances, sniper will be basically perfect.

My parents are kinda iffy about computer stuff too.
Even though I'm in a networking program at my college, they just don't want me to touch their computers even if it's something serious that needs to be done or they'll do really weird things.

Funniest thing that happened was that a couple months ago my Mom got so mad at how slow the connection was at the house that she literally beat her laptop so hard with her bare fists multiple times that it just wouldn't turn on anymore so she had to get a new one.

i suppose i'm still confused about the new update and the direction the TF2 team is taking the game

It feels like the TFTeam made these changes just for the sake of making changes. Like a TV show that's gone on for a few too many seasons, and the new writers and the directors of the show have no idea what the show was originally about.

Abandonment penalties were great because they prevented the 2v12 clusterfucks I keep constantly getting sent to. Queue times were obviously bugged then, and they're still fucking massive if you have more than one other person in your party anyway. Only playing on the same map over and over also gets really stale, so I don't understand people who only want to play 2fort or Baddiewater.

I could say the same for most of your complaints about casual. Being made to select more than just "that one map I'm good at" got people out of their comfort zone and inspired them to actually start trying to play the game. That one week where we had abandonment penalties on casual mode, I saw nothing but games where everyone was working together, using their mics, and I saw not a single friendly.
