I think I remember seeing some kind of Framework that allowed Switches to activate and disable access to the various modded settlement asset packages.

Like, say you're using SSX, you'd build the SSX switch, power it, and turn it on, then you'd have access to the SSX category in your settlement asset selection screen, then once you're done building stuff, you leave the settlement asset selection screen and turn the switch off to return the selection screen to its vanilla state.

I wonder why more modders haven't conformed to that particular framework, seems like a no-brainer to me.

It's sort of pointless, really. If you've got it in you to obsessively build up mega settlements or even build smaller settlements with extreme precision, you need access to everything at once.

I've gotten SKE to function with all my DLC and mods, though it does clutter the menu significantly. It's like having your desk a mess. You know where shit is, but it'd be a nightmare for anyone else to find anything.

I use SSEX, Homemaker, Blood, Rust, and Bone, and that mod. It all works. I can access all of it, it just takes a couple more seconds to sort through.

The worst of it is trying to sort through decoration shit. I also have Gruffydd's stuff and better stores, so I have thousands of signs and graffiti, static objects, lights, and shit to go through. Finding appropriate signs is somewhat irritating, but a lot less so that constantly dropping in and out of the workshop.

Compound that with OCdecorator and it's a whole other issue. You just have to get used to it.

DO all of Children of Atom quests before the "main" quest there. You get A Hammer of +100 Smashing, a neat little anti-rad "natural" cure which does not suppress your immune system and a few other things which I cant remember right now. bring your CHA gear/items for an easy time

Deliverer is the best fucking handgun in the game, and if you have a mod that allows ammo crafting or if you have the Contraptions DLC you can easily ride out to any level with the Deliverer, and if you are patient enough you can get the best weapon mods from Tinker Tom (stock resets daily) and save yourself the 1-3 points to put into Gun Nut. If you are not into base building that is.

Big Jim is neat for like the first 20 levels but then starts showing its age. If you are a heavy Jet user you can easily swing circles around enemies.

oh whups, with pic related you can put your own enchant on the Deliverer.

Can be enhanced with Powerful/Penetrator (penetrator highly recommended at level 80+ on survival mode when everything goes jeans tucked into tube socks retarded with armor)
Can also put leg crippling on it if you are a brutal motherfucker, download yourself "Better Bash" and "Improved Bash" from nexus and pistol whip people to death after getting their legs crippled
Or you can carry around multiple consoled in versions of the Deliverer and act like you are changing ammo types, like plasma rounds, or cyro rounds, incendiary rounds, poison rounds, etc.
Or even put a Staggering enchant on it just for giggles and shits.

With Survival Mode stuff like a Refreshing Beverage had like 1k hp healed and 500 rads removed, but now its 500hp and 100 rads.

Is that 100 rads total or more than 100 removed over time?

I ask this obviously retarded question with the Ware Brew, says it takes a whole 10 rads off, but it has a duration and I can faintly see more than 10 rads going away.

You knew what you were getting into when you decided to use it. The devs have even said to expect frequent halting problems, and it's still in early development atm anyway.

It's still trash. You could take out vulnerable enemies more quickly with an Irradiated Gamma Gun. For anything that the raw physical damage would be useful against, that melee is so slow that it is complete garbage next to something like a Gauss Rifle - safer, being at range, and better DPS.

The only things it does better, it does MUCH better. Namely character, armor and weapon customization. The world building in NV is worlds better, and so is the writing and the impact of dialogue, but this game has it's own draw as an open world Sandbox shooter with RPG elements.

How do you reset companions?

Ada has become invisible. No matter what I do, she stays invisible and I cannot fix her. I've tried using the robot workbench, but that does not work.

I've tried prid "ID" - moveto player and shit, I've tried selecting her - disable/enable, but she still stays invisible

Can anyone give me some tips for navigating the render window in the CK? I know that by holding shift I can rotate around the selected object, or if nothing is selected, I can rotate everything, but sometimes I just want to pan left or right and there doesn't seem to be an obvious button to do that. Why does nothing in the CK match up? I'm using two tunnel parts from the same set, tunnel01 and tunnel02 and they don't even clip together. There's no point having the snap to functions on, as they way overshoot where they should go.

Armor modding/bodyslide question here.

this is a cool armor, but its ruined by the comically big boobs this character doesnt have in other armors. Can this be fixed to fit the body preset I have in bodyslide (I dont know alot about that program and what it can do) or are they made into the armor as part of it preventing this?

How optimized is the Brotherhood of Steel for a power armor character with low Int ?

I know they sell upgraded T-60 parts so you do not have to upgrade them yourself, plenty of fusion cores so even if you use them up you can replace them cheap with some charisma, and you gain special power armor parts by completing their quests that function like modules you can install on the power armor.

Does this mean a strength/endurance run with power armor can be optimal with them ? Losing some crafting that might give you some bonuses for more SPECIAL and perk points for other things.

Also robots working scavenge stations do in fact give lots of materials, I suggest using an uncapper on it though, makes them FAR more productive. I was getting ~15~ nuclear material every day...doesn't sound like much but thats just 1 type of material, a rare one to boot.

I have most of my robots doing supply lines and farming at this point though. For amassing adhesive. One day I might install some mods that give settlers new jobs, and have robots assembling mini nukes and other weaponry for me.

Mutant Hound Chops are a flat 5 rads removed, nothing more, nothing over time, and it is instant
Refreshing Beverage is the same thing, a flat 100 rads removed at the time of clicking.

I do not know the numbers on the Ware Brew but I remember it sucking and still giving you a shit ton of Fatigue like rad-away but also gave you some health.

I seriously need help and I'm at my wit's end. I'm trying to set up raider outposts so I can get the tribute chest, and I just need one more. I want it at Outpost Zimonja. I have Shanks at Tenpines Bluff so that it'll be a short trot to take it. But no matter what, Outpost Zimonja does not show up on the list. I hover over Tenpines Bluff on the map and Outpost Zimonja does not change, though Sanctuary does. I killed all the settlers in Zimonja, no change. I brought in new settlers, no change. There's no companions there and there's no quest there. I can only imagine there's an invisible quest at Zimonja that I can't complete because it doesn't show up on my list. Is there some mod that will allow me to fix this shit? Can I just wait it out? Do settler quests have time limits where they can auto-fail? Pissed off about this shit.

not sure why, but chems and alcohol were my friend for my unarmed game. Overdrive for 25% damage and crit chance outside of VATS, Jet for getting around blocking/bashing cunts, Vodka for +2 str and an instant 50 hp and so on and so forth

But Unarmed is pretty tame in the way of mods, 5 types of unarmed weapons (knuckles, boxing gloves, power fist, deathclaw gauntlet, and the meat hook from far harbor) and all only have 1-4 mods each.

Download a Ballistic Weave mod, apply MK1 to all pieces of armor, get some decent END and STR and maybe enough CHA for Party Boy for delicious alcohol buffs and start punching shit to death, remember 1 str = 10% more melee/unarmed damage. Most common alcohols are a nice 20% damage increase, meanwhile Dirty Wastelanders (mainly crafted, but check all bartender types for more) are a solid 60% damage increase

MK-1 Ballistic Weave to all 5 main armor pieces gives you a fair chance at combat with chance for dying, and applying MK-1 BW to underarmor, hats and glasses will put things greatly in your favor and yadda yadda yada MK5 on everything is basically x-01 power armor. Not going to lie, probably could not do melee survival without the ballistic mk-1 mod on everything

Bare Fists have everything Knuckles have, but they can German Suplex
Knuckle kill animations are brutal as fuck, neck snapping, kicking their leg out and smashing their face in, etc
Boxing animations are just strait power hits I think, been forever since I used them
Power Fists animations send people flying(within reason) in various ways
Deathclaw Gauntlets are just basically eviscerating bitches from an uppercut that slices through them or just grabbing their shoulder and stabbing them
Not sure on the meat hooks however

But unarmed can be fun, the early levels where you have nothing but Bladed Knuckles and the Brawling mod for your arms are fun as all fuck as raiders are just brutally brutalized.

I just picked up F4 again after several months because I reckoned since the GECK is out it would be fixed by now and I could mod the fuck out of it and have a good time. Holy fuck, there's no modding community for this game. It's just sad. Half the mods I see on the Nexus were out when I first played the game like half a year ago before the GECK was out, that's how bad it is.
