I'm the only person here that has ever rigged custom creatures so there's that. Unless Buffquaad's deathclaw tiddies mod counts, but even then I had to help him with the more technical stuff.

Does bPipboyDisableFX=1 crash the game for anyone else? It's either this or running in borderless window that's causing trouble for me. It's real fucking strange; sometimes FO4 crashes the moment I press a button to skip the intro, sometimes it infinitely loads with the main menu panning shots of the red rocket stop, sometimes it crashes the moment I load into the world, and sometimes it crashes the moment I or any other actor fires a gun. Yeah, I've found it. Blender had a simplify polygons script I could use.

Went from 750 kb to 97.1 kb. Still looks good. Gonna have to make the stalk and top seperate over a texture issue caused by extruding, but all in all, now its really starting to take shape. I'm gonna look into the flame effect soon.

If you insist on going with energy weapons you have few options for ammo:
Scrounger was fixed in patch 1.4
Go to a lot of places with synths - loot weapons for gods sakes
Paladin Danse's first quest into that factory
The Mayoral Shelter far west-middle of the map near Fort Hagen
That Fishery far north-east, the one you passed going to far harbor for the first time
Gunners tend to use a lot of energy weapons so their nests as well
Loot weapons

Other than that just keep checking vendors and shit, you are in for an uphill battle all the way since energy weapons suck

How optimized is the Brotherhood of Steel for a power armor character with low Int ?

I know they sell upgraded T-60 parts so you do not have to upgrade them yourself, plenty of fusion cores so even if you use them up you can replace them cheap with some charisma, and you gain special power armor parts by completing their quests that function like modules you can install on the armor.

Does this mean they planned to make it any build, including strength/endurance or luckc/agi builds, can fully use power armor in a BoS playthrough ? Losing some crafting that might give you some bonuses for more SPECIAL and perk points for other things.

Armor should have one too. You might need to steal the data from something like tesla armor so that you can apply that mesh layer to the helmet when it is worn.

I wanted to make an unarmed character but I'm struggling to see any reason to do it over melee. Unarmed just seems like a really gimped melee that gets disabled in power armor.

I wish there were two paths you could take after gaining control: science for science's sake, and the great benefactor. The former gives access to more weapon mods, cyborg implants and stuff like that. The latter gives you better food and water purifiers for settlements, better stimpacks and cleaner chems, etc.

First time I played DM I got confused and enraged so much in the Villaberynth I had to use tgm and tlc for the rest of the DLC - especially for the bunker part.
Second time tho, I knew what was expected of me so I went through all the terminals.
The story part is great - liked the drama story of Sierra Madre much more than any other DLC
