Pretty sure Gilded means that they're built as a host (healing/support miracles, loads of survivability so that it's much harder for the badshits to win), whereas Vicar means a summon.

Why is people mad at this game again?

I've only cleared the game once, when it was released, but, since i had to format my computer i lost my save file.

I started many other characters when the game was populated some months back, i enjoyed them greatly but never reached the endgame

I just killed the twin princes and i've been trying to be really observative.

This game is beautiful. The MAGNITUDE of the architecture, the landscapes, the sky.

The eclipse gazing at you in front of the gate that leads you to the throne room, the fact you can see the path you've walked since the beginning of the game, the boss design, their music, the ambient sounds... holy shit

I know the developers took some... dubious decisions about online and balance, but when you focus on the single player side of the game, Dark Souls 3 is really an incredible piece of software that sets the bar design-wise for all other RPG's

This is truly, a patrician's choice

Well, this turned out to be pretty mediocre. The basic damage output from the power-stanced L1's is pretty good, but I'm pretty sure the bleed has little to no effect on anything that isn't a human player or an invader (and even then it's not all that much). Having about 650 AR per L1 can wreck stuff, but the problem is that Endurance soft-capping at 20 means that I'm only able to get two swings out of my stamina bar and only just barely have enough left for either an L2 or a roll away.

Though admittedly, it was cutting through the Rotten like butter, even with use of a summon to double his HP. Pretty sure I was proccing the 200 HP drain on at least every other L1. It's just too bad that the Royal Greatsword's the length of a regular straight sword that I have to literally be point-blank in an enemy's face to hit them with both swords at once.

Use blood jelly on your right and make it normal again. I figure that most weapons besides manslayer do better procing when resin'ed with all the corresponding eq that increases said proc. It's the damage you're looking for, procing comes second. In a fight, you have to gain momentum to keep attacking and most of the time people will freak out and get proc'ed, then it's cakewalk from there so long as they don't have a moss equiped.

I think at this point the chances of there ever being another Dark Souls game with Fromsoft and/or Miyazaki behind it are virtually nil. As I understand it Bandai(?) owns the IP so they can decide to make another one whenever they want theoretically, but at this point Miyazaki is a made man. He's the president of Fromsoft and via the legacy of DS1 he's also known as a fantastic game director, so he can probably have his pick of projects from now until the end of his career, and if there's anything Bloodborne and DS3 have indicated it's that he's fucking done with the Dark Souls series. He has no reason to return that universe and I don't think he has any desire to, and frankly I don't think he had any desire to explore it beyond DS1 in the first place; as the endings of DS3 basically reveal, he said all he wanted to say the first time. This whole last game stinks of phoning it in, especially after you play Bloodborne and see all the love and new ideas that were put into that game.

Future "Souls" games will share the gameplay mechanics and aesthetic, and likely nothing else.
