i'm not a particularly good player at any of them except maybe tekken. i just have fun playing fun fighting games with other people. i'm also motivated to get better at them, so it's always fun to see it happen.

i only know barebones combo stuff in bb, uniel, sc, and vf. you're right to an extent that you can't play any of those games without knowing some basic combos, but if you don't want to trainingboar them all the time, you don't have to. just playing people and learning from it will often help more than just trainingboaring, and i'm lucky that i have people who can help me with that.

I think that forcing yourself to play a "footsies" character is a bad idea in the long run, you can play footsies with any character.

All 8th gen consoles were heavily underpowered even when they released. The little time that past only made this more obvious. Heck fucking sony never can keep even a stable 30 fps in all their third and second party games, as little as they may be.
