The Pierce 5 will be much stronger, use Ala bow as a pierce bow. Since it's dragon damage, it's an element for end game where the monsters are huge as shit anyway so Pierce will be pretty effective. Actually a good bow to hunt Dreadking and the like with.

Pierce Bows are pretty shit, you might as well be piercing with bowguns, but if you really like Bow then it's ok for what it is. Shot level for Pierce only increases the crit distance from 4 and up. You need the element to make up for the shit raw MV.

I already have "literally can't get better than this" sets for all gunner weapons and elements, I'm just at that point in gen where I'm not too fussed over optimal play all the time. I've completely ignored spread and pierce bows and running them against specific monsters has been a lot of fun.
it's a shame so many of these are sub-optimal. adjusting my playstyle for shit like raw lbg or spread bow brings so much variety.

I'm a bow memer as well, I actually tried making that Bow work, but don't have a good enough talisman to pull it off. Even though charge level 1 only has 0.7 elemental multiplier, considering the shot level of its other charge level I think it is most optimal to spam charge level 1 on it either way. Since you'll need to aim all your arrows in one weak to water spot anyway, I think replacing crit eye with repeat offender would be better since that's 10 less points.

No, WE would be useless in most cases since you'll be focusing on a spot weak to water element specifically. A spot weak to element won't necessarily have a raw shot hitzone above 45 to activate WE in the first place.

Repeat Offender activates when consecutive hits are registered without you missing. Since the charge level 1 is a Rapid 5, 5 arrows hitting the same place should activate Repeat Offender immediately, granting you basically 35% affinity for only 10 skill points. As long as you keep spamming the charge level 1 without missing you can keep that affinity up very easily. You might even be able to get crit eye 2 on top of that if you're still able to wear Hayabusa on top of it.

I completely forgot that WE is based off raw hit zones for a sec, christ. that'd make it even more situational. Yeah sorry I meant 30%. But it's basically CE 3 at half the cost if you keep it up, which will be easy by spamming charge 1. Drop both true shot up since it's useless for that bow and get both RO and CE 2. You'll get better mileage out of Ele Crit that way.

What's better for Nebula Storm Bonus Shot, Ammo Saver or True Shot Up?

How is elemental damage calculated in this game? Say, I have a weapon with raw of 130 with blue sharpness. How many raw+elemental of same sharpness I need to deal a higher damage against a monster weak to said elemental?

True Shot Up > Ammo Saver > Bonus Shot
since the only one that would benefit from bonus shot is P. Water 2, and though that adds up a bit, it also locks you in place longer which can be dangerous.

I guess Sleep 2 also gets a bonus shot, but it'll just give you 3 shots per round, and usually monster sleeps on the 4th shot, so you end up shooting 2 rounds anyway.

If you can get all 3 then good, but Water Atk +2 is still the most important, Element Atk Up is also a nice addition.
