Guys im using Glacial Cascade and Bladefall in a CoC build. Got up to T10 but now i feel my damage is lacking.

Why is there such discrepancy in damage between regular mobs and bosses?
You can just rush through normal mobs without problems and then the boss just two shots you and you're left wondering what you did wrong.
And the only way to circumvent this is to overlevel and overgear compared to mobs pre-boss like crazy.

I don't think there is. Mobs can 2-4 shot you but you wont notice it that much because you kill them so fast/they are slow so you almost never get hit.. A lot of bosses are on your ass/hit you from far and you won't kill them fast enough to not get hit once.

Some of the mechanics will buff him even if they aren't out of the ground yet (just learned that today). So if you kill the first thing to rise up and burst down the boss he ends up getting the 2 remaining buffs even though they never activated.

20k base armour (40k+ with flasks up)
6 endurance charges (permanent, level 20 IC)
Chaos golem
Aegis Aurora (1k ES buffer)
Level 23 Purity of Ice (level 21 in an Essence Worm ring) for 85 base cold res
Essence of Horror chest (15% of physical damage taken as cold damage)
One sapphire for temporary 91% cold res

Anything I'm missing? What should I add to be immortal?

Those are not individual 7-8k+ hits, there are several quick bursty hits of 2-4k damage which is something a max block build excels at mitigating. Literally 3 hits out of 4 simply do not go through, and that's before evasion, dodge, blind, etc.

Give more ways to lower the damage of big hits. Especially physical ones.

Right now, there's only a handful of ways to do that, and you can only run one of them to it's fullest potential in a build.

Why is it a problem? An arpg with no damage spikes has no element of surprise and is thus boring. Because we have damage spikes, this results in a variety of different ways players come up to deal with it: stacking 15k es, getting instant leech, stacking avoidance, stacking mitigation, stacking movement speed, avoiding the damage altogether through mechanics, minions or positioning, etc. If damage is in an expected range, then there is never any reason to prepare for above that expected range. im trying out mathils current poison st build and im having a blast.
the only time i had fun like this before in poe was doing dual wield cybils incinerate back when it still shotgunned and you could tank anything with just that.
but fuck lvl 20 added chaos gems are expensive as fuck and i had no luck corrupting about 5 so far.
apart from srs ive never seen boss health disappear so fast. its like the boss is deleted from existance.

I still think life nodes especially around the right side of the tree could use a slight buff. Evasion characters are the ones that are most vulnerable to one shots because they usually have fuckall phys reduction and a chunk of evasion and dodge. Top that off with a low life pool and you're ready to be one shot with one mistake, lag spike, unexpected shit or bad dodge RNG.

Thing is I have zero armour so Physical hit me like 4 times as hard as Elemental reflect does.

Build more life. Stun and chills are based off of your life pool. If you go into the fight with shitty health pool and low cold res, you'll get stunlocked into his sword waves. You can halfway cap your cold res in normal with a couple white rings from the vendor recipe if needed, throw a couple alts at your gear and you should be able to cap at least one res at a time for each boss if you don't have "good leveling gear"

Looking at these wannabe CoC builds made with Eye of Innocence, couldn't you basically do something like this with Mjölner Discharge?

Juggernaut + Eye of Innocence for Endurance charge generation, RT + Romira for Power charges, Discharge with 2 links on Mjölner for maximum damage and you get some time to generate more charges because of the cooldown they introduced.

Under 4k is really low, even with decent defenses on softcore. If you've not been stringent on hp nodes, start looking at getting enough t1 life roll gear. If you're not rich, that generally means sacrificing offense.

Or reroll to another build, the game got 10 times more fun for me after I decided to reroll after trying some shitter newbie (coincidentally templar) build from a streamer as my first character earlier this year. There are plenty of builds that can do a nice mix of fast movement, okay defense and decent clear speed at not too high a cost.

It's possible, but you need another extra buffer like MoM to compete with CI and not die to volatiles. The good news is you get dual sustain (life and mana) if you use WM/boots enchant. Using a Carcass also significantly improves your clear speed/survivability as 20 inc AoE is huge on BV and there is no way to get as much as CI.

I have 30-some stashes. I buy a 50 bucks supporter pack every other league, not because I want to have purple footprints but just to support. Most tabs are filled with crap. Like I have one of every unique stashed away for some reason - and some of them are god awful and should be fixed.

I have found 9 exalts over the years. I have spent two (on my items).

Race seasons are kinda meh. I know I won't get enough points to get the really cool rewards, and I play PoE to relax, not to compete (which should be obvious by now). But if I get the pop-up I sometimes join if it 1 hour or less.

I got two characters in standard. A heavy strike/groundslammer I just flat out refuse to change (to Earthquake or whatever). He has died more than 500 times. I am annoyed when I must reallocate his skill points after a new patch. He is level 86 and has my only 6-linked item: a chestpiece on a poor base. I just hit it with fuses because it had three resists and got lucky (I used less than 10). I like playing him. Content has to be easy for him to survive, and every so often I throw him out where he dies and ensures I will stay forever at level 86. Usually chaos damage or traps. The other used to be an Incinerator but he doesn't work at all after 2.0 so I just don't delete him because he happens to be level 89.

I won't abandon standard because of all my accumulated currency and levelled masters. It is good to have a place to go if the current league isn't my cup of tea. I peak out in yellow maps content-wise. Can't do uber-lab or atziri though I am willing to try. Helps keeping my guys from getting too many levels ;)
