After way too damn long, Night 2 of Inside My Shoes is finished and can be read here:

I'm happy with how this one turned out, I've been studying up on a lot of horror writers the past month and a few pages of outlining work for this one and the next chapter which will be Day 3. I'm still trying to capture that same sense of uneasy dread FNAF1 has and the OC of old carried. Any reception, thoughts, criticism, or pointing out of any typos is appreciated.

The modern general is just as bad as youtube, reddit, and steam a majority of the time. The paranoia over everything and lack of OCfags and anon completely ruin any sense of tight-knit companionship the thread had. Beyond that, everyone bitches over everything, like something as simple as making a new thread, or this very post. Not to mention how the worth of anon is gone entirely since 'GUESS WHO~' stopped being a meme and anon posts are no longer taken at face value. It does have rare nights or days where it comes together like it used to though. I'm going to once again stay hesitantly optimistic that Sister Location will bring some people back.

It's not about "us". It's about the fact that while we do participate in idiotic arguements and pointless drama, we do not solemly stand by every single belief we have about the series. We also have an age average of about 24, contrary to the other communities. Compare typical comments with any from any of the others and you'll see what I mean. Which kind of types become regular in those places is very obviously unlike what's normal here.

That's not to paint them as the devil and us as anything pristine, but we're far, far beyond them. Not even saying that in a superior way, they're just little children.

Mister Miller. The protagonist for Inside My Shoes. I originally was going to use this design for Michael Schmidt as far back as when I was sketching nightguards while writing the first chapter of Toying With You, but found a better use for Mike that fit the lore of FNAF 1 better, I'll draw Mike later on. The only real difference from that design around two years ago and now is a shift in facial structure and skin tone from Hispanic to Native American, given the large amount of Native Americans in the Georgia and Alabama areas where a majority of my stories take place.

>>155157849

oh god, that game. I'm in the discord that the creator has, asked him about the game he gave me this

>A band of robots who get this gig at a pizza parlor to preform, only to find out pizza parlor is abandoned for years. Shit happens, busted robot comes and tells them they were called in to be sacrifices by the BB, they don't buy it thinking it's an excuse to not get paid, shit happens, spoilers, ect. It is somewhat tied to FNAFB, except I guess bad future. Balloon Boy wasn't stopped, toy chica (the busted robot) somehow trapped the pizza place inbetween dimensions, something slipped through and then the main characters were lead there by Ballon Boy so his chains can be destroyed and he can shit on the universe.
>Oracle (toy chica) sends the protags to the alt pizza parlor to keep them away from Ballon Boy, who's going to trick them to releasing him but they end up doing so anyway by killing Oracle for a stupid reason.

>Who's Them?
Inter-dimensional aliens that share a telepathic, emotional link with humanity. They are what gives humanity the capability to feel emotions and vice-versa.
From what I remember, they use surplus emotion energy or whatever to combat the universe's entropy, and to harness that emotion power, they have "emotion farms", where they seek particularly emotional events and make a space-time bubble around them, looping them over and over and harnessing that sweet, sweet emotional power.
They used the Fazbear killings. as fuel for the loop Ghostquest took place in.
It's about as dumb as it sounds.

That's fucking.. huh, yeah, safe to say the creator of that rpg game is a big fan of Ghostquest. I'm going to paraphrase something very interesting

>Balloon Boy seeking universal conquest warps the toys and himself into creatures of pure hate, made of flesh and metal, Toy Chica somehow doesn't fall prey to BB, escaping with severe damage and mystic powers. Knowing the impending doom she takes up a new name and traps the building inbetween dimensions, sealing BB to his puppets, like chains and a stake. Balloon Boy somehow manages to leak something out of his eternal torment, leading to the events, and death of ToyChica, and quite possibly the death of the universe itself.

>>155162453
Come on man, at least post the whole thing
>>155162457
Knottingham's content wasn't all that good. His voicefaggotry was kind of decent, but everything else was bad. He also continued posting long after it was obvious that he had his own dedicated hateanon that would spam the thread with shitposts every time he showed up. Even though he knew that posting would cause a minor shitstorm, he still did it. If all that posting was good content, that'd be somewhat excusable, but all it was was him apologizing to the thread and advertising his streams that weren't even FNAF related. When people started getting tired of that, he tried to bribe his way into the thread's good graces by giving away games on steam. All this accomplished was giving the people that most subscribed to the hugbox reasons to shout his virtues to the heavens and fight shitposting with shitposting whenever anyone would complain about him. Not only that, but there's actually evidence that Knottingham lied about giving away those games, which makes him a piece of shit attentionwhore the likes of which CCA would later aspire to.
>>
>>155161605
I want to bet the Mangle's butt.
>>
>>155162238
Kind of.
Our thread is a weird one because we went through a psuedo-purge that funneled people into those outer-thread communications. In addition to that, people began complaining about IRC/skype in-jokes. Since these were now separate and considered "off-topic" and off-topic was the new designation when the thread was restored, thing just became less and less funny. Then we had the whole CDF thing which put a nail in the art fad coffin. When was the last time we all had a dumb art thing that wasn't the prom disaster?

People forgot how to have fun and communicate in the big hub where everybody can see each other and interact. Now it's mostly closed-doors in-jokes with little thread input.

I write almost exclusively inside pastebin.

Guestposting means you will have to go to more effort to edit your pastes. You would be remaking pastes with new URLs over typos. Not really practical but possible with enough effort.

The max unlisted pastes you can have is 25.

If you're going to do it though I'd just post the whole thing and have line numbers to direct the reader to specific bits, just like in the books. That is best done with a single paste.

There's nothing wrong with Lovecraft. Lovecraft was an extremely talented and creative individual.

Applying tentacles everywhere and calling it Lovecraft is not actually Lovecraft, though. Thankfully Ghost has avoided this, unlike the resident Lovecraftfag actually named Lovecraftfag.

I'm glad you get it, for all the hate Them get (and to be fair stuff against their personalities or Unit .1's silliness or Unit .3's boringness are justified, that's a matter of taste) the latter half of GhostQuest is the only thing I've written that I'd actually consider genuinely Lovecraftian. Though I default to 'At the Mountains of Madness' when I think of Lovecraft usually.

Only in his really short stuff like Narlothotep and The Festival. His bigger and well-known works like Shadow Over Innsmouth, Cthulhu, and Mountains of Madness gave origins and reasons to his entire cosmic universe. Honestly it would be easier to do it with a custom tumblr or wordpress site. You want things to be links with actions attached to them and have it be easy to go through. If you want to get crazy with it, get an EC2 instance for free for a year and make a custom site through that.
>>
>>155173865
Ease of drawing is the easier way to say 'it takes me a long as fuck time to draw feet' on top of the end result usually looking sub-par. Then after a while the lack of toes on certain poses gave rise to a need for dynamic feet, which in turn made these sort of 'robot shoes' a part of some character designs. Some characters, such as Chica, have a default foot that suits their themed animal. Others like Foxy have their in-game feet. This is all from just trying out new designs and going with what looks right and feels good to draw.

If you would like, I can just announce when the next session takes place one or two hours before it would start. I'll get on your request in due time though.

I think the only time I don't like it is with the puppet or the springsuits, since that comes with some messed up implications about the wearer's feet, and the lack thereof.

>So you're just assuming it sounds bad without even listening to it?
I do this with all music videos, but in this case my being a bitter asshole does influence things a bit.
Not sure why you're confused about why I expect more from a music video than quick jumpy cuts to animatronics staring at the screen. That isn't the standard for music videos featuring flesh and blood performers; no reason to shoot even lower when you can do literally anything in this situation.

There's nothing with the animations, and it's noticeable. Ballora dances for only a few seconds and then bobs her heads to the lyrics to simulate singing. Every character sings to the camera, which is boring when they're not doing anything else.

Doesn't help that the lyrics are so far from having any sense of imagination behind them that the attempts at literal screenplay to the lines shows through with every pitch-corrected word.

I wanted a quest, I knew if I had a quest the PC would have to be an enemy, a small fry. Lolbit and Endo have their specific roles as NPCs, and bosses are best for partners/enemies/locations, and would be too big and imposing for the player to relate to if that was their avatar.

Out of the enemies in FNAF World, I had a few things I needed:
>A face that could emote
>opposable thumbs

This drastically limited my options to Tangle, Redbear, Ball Boy, and White Rabbit. Tangle, Redbear, and Ball Boy look so much like Tangle, Fredbear, and Balloon Boy that a new splash of paint wouldn't be enough to give then an identity isolated from the source character. White Rabbit however, is a recolor of Shadow Bonnie, a character I rarely use (Unit .2's shadow is technically my Shadow Bonnie, and White Rabbit looks not much like her) so she sticks out in my clusterfuck of characters, has a color scheme that can work with any background (even on white her eyes and mouth allows her body to be seen to some extent) and rabbits are kind of cute.

And if she dies I can always start 'Rainbowthirst Quest'.

I don't want this to sound patronizing or whatever word I'm looking for, but I don't think you understand how I work. I've been doing this for years, I start a lot of projects, all with a vastly different moods and tone. That way, when I want to write, I can choose a story to match the mood I want to write so the material flows naturally.

Mangle for Philosophical Romance, Dust Bunny for Slice of Life and Mystery, TWY (and now Inside My Shoes, though it's struggling for readers, hard act to follow I guess) for Horror, Le Cauchemar for Drama and heavy character focus. And a web I hide from you guys that weaves them all into one big universe. Thus far I've finished TWY, GhostQuest, and a share of oneshots (Crisisverse one, two Rainbow fics). I don't pick one story and hammer at it exclusively for weeks on end till it's completely finished because that would be boring for me and for the few people left that still hold interest for my material. That would be announcing 'Hey I'm only writing content that deals with this one thing and nothing else for a while'. It's confining and dull.

If I were to finish up Dust Bunny this week, well I'd have to start a new story for that tone. So I stretch out my stories by alternating, I place variety extremely high in my priorities. I don't want to write with a mentality of "I can't wait for this to be done with so I can do something else". I'd like to think I've handled writefaggotry pretty okay thus far. The stories that have died were usually stories no one seemed receptive to or pissed off more people than they pleased (IE the Candy stuff). BonQuest was stopped simply because Snax is a busy bee.

As for FANGAMES however, I'm just an incompetent twat in that area that can't manage a team to save my life and I deserve every drop of bullying sent my way for it.

I've written, with no exaggeration because I've tallied word counts, hundreds and hundreds of pages of material to read here and I'm still on it. Some things get left behind when people don't care about them. Some things I lose interest in. But to act like I don't care about writefaggotry or the stories I have going is wrong. People can dislike me for my personality, or my optimism, or being too trustworthy, that shit is perfectly valid. I hate the thought of being disliked to an unhealthy extent, but I know I can't change that. However, I remember every story I start, and I don't just 'abandon' stories for no good reason.

Ghost, you're like the Jeb Bush of our general. You might be a huge sperg, and it might be fun to laugh at you, but at the end of the day, you're still the guy we can rely on to be there, possibly making Guac or writing about robot animal sex. You keep on keeping on, you crazy son of a bitch.

While Chica had the worse encounter I think Bonnie being forced to remember while having her wrists broken was some cruel shit.
I have no idea what's up with the mold that keeps showing up in this story and Dust Bunny but it seems the type of thing that is worse when left unchecked.
Spooking me good so far with Freddy and I'm looking forward to more of the the subplots of finding Mike and kids' lives.

Man, to like freckles is to like freckles in moderation. It's the way of the universe when it comes to fetishes
When there's too much of something, it becomes tiring and overdone. When one has freckles that makes them unique, and in a way, more attractive in comparison to others.
But when everyone has freckles, it's overdone, man. The pull that you felt before just isn't there anymore because everyone has it now

That is neat. But it's been implied that it took a fair bit of experimentation before he put on the suit IIRC. But in terms of doing SCIENCE! on live humans, yeah the rabbot has him beat by what, 30? Possibly 29 if he's been doing anything to Fritz?

That depends entirely on what the focus of the story is. The story isn't about how Mike came to be in the situation he's in, it never was; and as far as the overall plot is concerned, it doesn't matter. It's about the interactions and circumstances he finds himself in while dealing with and learning about an ensemble cast of characters.

The name was leaked when Scott started licensing the names of the SL bots. We knew Freddy and Foxy would be returning, as well as Baby, Ballora, and Minireena existing. Ennard's the most likely name for something with a fairly masculine appearance, and a goopy, organ-like trait as an "innard"

Sharks are sometimes cute, but they're also pretty retarded looking. Unless you go all out and make it literally retarded, with a paralyzed facial expression and being unable to use it's mouth for anything but drooling or sputtering, it's tough to get some horror out of it.

Creating an enemy that can visually epulse people, without running the risk of alienating your target audience can open up a substantially larger amount of possibilities, in my opinion. Just make it damn unpleasant to look at, and so it'll be all the more impactful when you see it moving about.

Important lore stuff like how Mike got there how parallel dimensions work and the parallels between Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria and Jeremy Humans are not the focus of the story. Roommates is a story about a Mike living with friendly, living furry versions of the animatronics. It's about Mike learning to live with their oddities and coping with his own, about Mike making new friends, and about his roommates' relationships with each other.

Roommates should not be read with the mindset "this is an adventure/mystery on hopping between dimensions and/or another corrupt and dangerous entertainment corporation", because, with the exception of a couple chapters, all that stuff, while definitely present, is all either setting things up or is only going on in the background.

My biggest complaint about Roommates is how much it stretches suspension of disbelief. There's a concept in writing where you get one thing that stretches credulity, sometimes called the "unicorn in the garden". The basic idea behind it is that readers can accept any one thing in a setting, no matter how incredulous it is or how mundane the setting is. Any more than that lowers the quality of the story. The unicorn itself can be anything. Insane leaps of logic, unexplained supernatural phenomena, or contrived coincidences all count.

Now, the problem with Roommates is that it has too many unicorns. Mike's unexplained entry into the alternate reality made up of anthromorphic animals doesn't necessarily need to be explained if it's just used as a plot device to set up the story. Goldie's presence haunting the apartment doesn't require a reason if it's purpose is to be mysterious or spooky. Nearly every character Mike encounters being a victim in some way or another of Jeremy Human's can easily just be a way to show the reality of what such a restaurant can create. Every apartment consisting solely of a bear named Freddy, a chicken named Chica, a rabbit named Bonnie, and a fox named Foxy or Mangle or some variation thereof can highlight that Mike can't escape from his past at Freddy Fazbear's.

Any one of them can make the story better by inserting it in. Including all of them, among other things I didn't mention, doesn't. The garden gets too crowded because of it. The reader is asked to accept too much stuff blindly and it completely ruins any sense of immersion and defies belief.

>Two Mangles and Two Foxys; the Foxys are red furred male foxes and the Mangles are pink furred female foxes
We're nearly forty chapter into Rommates. That no explanation has been offered for anything is poor writing, especially since the story is apparently close to wrapping up. There have been too many unicorns for too long.

My problem wasn't that the unicorn existed. My problem was that it had friends. The premise works fine, it doesn't need an explanation and any explanation it would get likely wouldn't be satisfying. In this situation it's just another thing to add to the pile of things that break suspension of disbelief.
Also, Roommates at its core is a story about a guy moving into an apartment and interacting with the tenants of the complex. Contrary to the strangeness at the forefront that comes from it taking place in a furry AU, it's a very mundane setting, which is one of the only kinds of settings that the concept of a unicorn in a garden can be said to definitely apply.

Lord of the Rings doesn't have many metaphorical unicorns, though. It's a carefully fleshed out universe. The characters all have reasons for their actions, objects have reasons for existing, events have reasons for taking place. Some are explicit, some are implicit. Fantastical settings don't mean that suspension of disbelief should be maintained through every possible event that takes place. If, for example, in Lord of the Rings Frodo fell through a portal that suddenly appeared in the Shire and appeared before an altar upon which the One Ring was placed rather than simply inherit it, that would be a unicorn.

Suspension of disbelief is a separate concept from setting, and it breaks my own to find that someone like you never realized that.

Well now you're just being rude

The fact that you list all these facts as things that don't apply to Roommates says a lot

I wish you'd just led with this in the first place, rather than framing it as a believability issue
Suspension of disbelief is not the same as irrational behavior, or unexplained circumstances, which are the things you're listing here

I think the issue you really have with it is that not enough things are being explained, and the assumption you're making is that because something isn't addressed yet it never will be

Not really. Comics were popular, but considerably sparse when Benis came along. Writefaggotry's had a pretty consistent amount of writefags adding to it since August 2014. The vocal support for Benis came more from OCfags ( who adopted his Golden Freddy into their stuff in some capacity) than it did from anons, which is the inverse for Poke.

Benis is much more nomadic, with /pol/ the closest thing to a home board for him. Poke is comfy with being Weaver's lap puppy.

You're saying that's kind of your whole point, but in the very post I replied to you claimed that the "unicorns in the garden" concept didn't apply to Roommates because it's a fantastic setting. You very clearly tied fantasy to suspension of disbelief.

Also, the situations and circumstances in Roommates having reasons behind them doesn't mean anything when they haven't been explained and no indication has been made that they ever will. The story's almost over, none of the questions introduced at the start haven't been answered, and new questions are getting introduced regularly. Reading the story from the beginning requires suspension of disbelief for what is now over two hundred thousand words. Even if all the questions and problems are cleanly wrapped up in this final stretch, it doesn't solve the problem that there were far too many unicorns for far too long.

I heard someone say something vaguely like this a while back, but considering the current topic it feels like a good time to bring the point up again. For all of the posts like this >>155240861 that crop up in relation to Roommates on a regular basis complaining about the attention it gets, I feel like the story also gets more than its fair share of scrutiny and nitpicking that other writers don't receive. I can't think of even one single occasion in the 2+ years I've been here in which someone has bothered to go through Sy's or Root's or Bastian's or Snax's or Gooseman's work and critique them with anywhere near as much autistic devotion as Roommates' detractors provide almost daily.

Yes, but only as a commentary on how you were applying the premise of "suspension of disbelief" to take issue with a fantastical world
When I made the Middle Earth comparison, I wasn't saying "I hate Lord of the Rings, it's so unbelievable", I was pointing out that your usage of the concept was misguided in this context

Home Invasion ran out of steam and has nowhere to go; Ace was grasping at straws that last chapter and it shows. As for Snax's AU, any discussion will always lead to the complicated moral stuff that was never intended to define the story in the first place. Sure it's interesting, but we've already talked about it at length, and it's not like Snax is really capable of tackling the subject matter properly herself. So what's the point? We'd just be going in circles again.
I'd be far more interested in talking about the few times RootCellar tried to take on an ongoing story. The Legend of the Golden Flute got really out of hand and took on a crazy meta commentary that mostly went ignored in favor of the surface level stuff making fun of Tex. That was pretty disappointing since it kind of pointed the finger back at the audience for just that sort of thing.
Then there was Effigy, wich was an amazing setup to a universe ripe for exploration that was only ever really touched upon in Secret Sauce; which actually came first, but works better as something that informs it's followup.
And then there's Sheltered, Portrait of Ruin, and Betwixt; which I actually couldn't sit through, but I hear got better as it went on.

Or maybe we could talk about Sy's extended universe. There's plenty of neat stuff there.
There's also Crisis's universe that's ripe with lore and unexplored concepts, especially with those stories he wrote.

Hello all- I may be facing a very interesting situation where I need to strip out a VIP’s (VERY VIP) visual appearance from a bunch of archived security data that I have both in a live Criminal Record Recognition folder, as well as a FFP file. Basically, they don’t want the VIP’s identity exposed to anyone, and want to be able to either strip out or replace the appearance recognition configuration in the optic lenses in all of the robots we want to send out. I am not sure if something like this is possible with Pokunobico, or exporting all of the data to HR and doing find/replaces with a batch processing program of some sort. Does anyone have experience with something like this, and/or suggestions on how this might be accomplished?

Literally how does any of this help Poke improve as a writer? It's a blanket statement couched as literary critique with the caveat that Poke's already lost before he ever even gets a chance to redeem himself, because apparently there's a statute of limitations on resolving plot threads in a story that's been ongoing for almost a year.

Most OCfags here are told "finish your quest" or "finish your comic" etcetera, but I think this is the first instance in our general's history in which a major, long-running project is being told "DON'T bother finishing your work, because nothing you can do at this point will be satisfying".

What writefag WOULDN'T be running out to join our esteemed ranks with this kind of amazing and highly useful "constructive" commentary?

You must be new here. There were people saying that about Ghostquest, Toying With You, and Bonquest during their hiatuses. Ghost was still able to salvage them by creating an interesting and high stakes finale, going strong ahead into his planned outcome that was different and better than what people were expecting, and changing the mechanics and graphics to create something more interesting for the players respectively.

>even if all the questions and problems are cleanly wrapped up in this final stretch, it doesn't solve the problem that there were far too many unicorns for far too long.
You know, even though the story is nearing its end, it doesn't mean it's bound to end in one chapter.
And, if all the questions and problems are cleanly wrapped up without any ass-pulls, then that would necessarily mean that the unicorns were there for just how long was necessary.
If, of course.

There's always the chance that Pokemaniacal fucks it all up in the end, and that all of his mystery set-ups were ass-pulled and actually lead nowhere, but until the story is over, there's no way to conclude (and believe) that.
But, until that happens, I'd rather just believe that he's crafted a good mystery for his slice-of-life story.

Then thing is, though, Roommates features mysteries a lot.
Where did Mike come from? Why is he forgetting who he is? Why does he still remember his family?
How did he get in the furry world? How did Goldie die? How did he come back?
What happened to Security Schmidt? What is going on with Jeremy Human?
Why are there Freddies, Foxies, Chicas and Bonnies in every apartment?

Those aren't meant to be unicorns, they're all meant to make you think "what the fuck".
Now, if Roommates reaches its end without answering those questions, then you're right.
>>

Imagine, if you will, a single OCFag. One that is capable of the drawing output of Crisis and the writing output of Gonderlane, simultaneously.
>>
>>155254381
Whenever an OCfag leaves, Ghost draws things in his style to keep his memory alive. Sometimes Ghost keeps up this charade for a long time to test how people respond to different quests, different kinds of scribbles, etc. Ghost has been testing out the thread response to BevQuest, he made a "return" as Panels lately, and there was no Kitten, Kitten was just a Ghost alias. Weaver hasn't been here in over a year, it was Ghost.

That raises a lot of questions about the Ghost Quest finally then, since he fell asleep at his computer and she took the opportunity to write her own continuation.
>>
>>155254861
Can confirm, I've been dead this entire time. Why do you think he's named "Ghost"? He collects us. All this talk about Roommates and the joke's on you, he killed me at chapter four and the rest of the story's been his ever since. Why do you think Foxglove suddenly turned sweet instead of antagonistic, and Foxglove and Mike keep coming back around to each other? Why do you think Mike passed on Cheeky when he had the opportunity?

Really makes you think, doesn't it?
>>
>>155254802
Fucking thank you. Glad someone said it. A unicorn is not the same as a mystery. There's a lot to keep readers guessing in this story but that's not what a fucking unicorn is. And even if they never get answered, it doesn't invalidate the story by some obtuse way of crossing some imaginary acceptable unicorn threshold. If Poke literally never tells me where Mike came from and how he ended up in NotZootopia, I'm not going to hate the story. I've had 40 comfy chapters of memorable friends and cuddly bunnies and fuggable chickens. I've enjoyed the journey and I've sunk my teeth into it for the better part of a year, now. Discarding all that, especially now, over petty shit like "all the characters have similar names" and calling it critique would be utterly fucking retarded.
>>
>>155252989
At this point the readers who sperg out are trolls or stupid.
Time after time others have explained why Mike's not a retard, why feeling despair at being a human among furries is logical and how his actions/mistakes make sense when seen as his own character with shortcomings and redeemable qualities.
These get ignored in favor of saying "Well I would react this way using my knowledge as a reader why didn't he?"

That they think Mike's at all on the hunt to get his weird human penis wet says all you need to know about what they want out of the story.
>>
>>155254773
If someone says a character you can examine that character to find what sort of problems they have that you weren't aware of. If someone says a story is shitty then you can remain aware of what the complaints about it were and avoid them for your next story. If someone says you're a bad writer then you can work on generally improving, if someone says you're not getting better and should give up then maybe writing isn't for you and your time and be better spent doing something else that you enjoy. It's all still constructive because improvement can be gained from all of it. Besides, Poke has been around for years and has been shitposted worse than this, claiming that he's never going to write for us again is just you getting offended on his behalf.

>>

>I guess that's where we differ, then. I would be absolutely assblasted that I got taken for a wild ride for the better part of an year with no proper closure to one of the biggest mysteries in the story.
It's not even really treated like a mystery. Essentially no time has been spent on it, and it's clearly not important to the story. If it was magic, or a passing wormhole, or a failed science experiment, none of those options would change his situation, none of them would differ from each other in terms of impact, none of them would affect anything. It's a total non-issue. There are plenty of unanswered questions that are salient to the story but that's not even close to being one. The "how" of Mike's arrival here doesn't count for anything. The story could have a chapter where Mike remembers he was part of a Lambda Science Team accident, or it could leave the chapter out, and either option would leave the story exactly as it was.
>>
>>155256007
They're waiting for you, Mike. In the test chamberrrrrrr.
>>
>>155256007
If you use that logic then none of the mysteries are important in the story, and at that point why even include them? If this was ff.net then I could see them being added in to pad the word count but as it is they're all meaningless.

>Robot law was instated when the first fully sapient robot was created. Initially it started with the science fiction 'Three Rules of Robotics' but when it was deemed necessary for a free-thinking computerized consciousness to be better suited to being an equal to humans there were new laws which replaced the old. The most common are very similar to the laws of consent for each robot type, and treating the CPU and endoskeleton as nearly irreplaceable. Other laws, such as allowing a robot to bring harm to a human being or other robot in order to prevent further harm from occurring were instated in order for robotic police and military personnel to fulfill their duties. These are but a few of the many laws specifically dictated to synthesized intelligence.

Yeah, a few. Panels, technically; Mango, assuming she's still actually around; Kitten; and Rugrats. There are probably a few others I'm forgetting.

>>155267857
I just know somebody is getting off to this. It sure as hell ain't me, but there's somebody out there.

>>155267903
Wednesday is in tomorrow or next week?
>>
>>
>>155267563
Panels, only suggestive at the very worst. Blobfag and Stick. More common occurance is OCfags having 'off limits" characters.
>>
>>155267857
Well I was hoping for some good old fashioned cheescake but this made me smile nonetheless.

Go to bed or else no chocolate milk for you in the morning.

The one that is technically tomorrow.

No matter how hard you try, it's impossible to make Baby 100% not creepy. There will always be something unsettling about her.
>>
>>155268630
Dead-eyed anime faces will usually do that to a person.
I'm pretty sure I've seen a few pictures of her that look okay though.
>>
Though it IS possible to make her even MORE creepy.

If you've ever wondered why the population's going down,
blame it on the plunder from the likes of the Killer Klowns!

I have my reservations. The animatronics for SL are in a place where there's some great horror potential, but I worry it's gonna be like FNAF 2 with jump scares as the only horror.
>>
>>155269087
Fuck off Stephen King, if I wanted horror I'd be reading one of your books.

one daddydope coming up

Considering this time you have to sneak past the animatronics without getting killed to do your job, there's gonna be some very scary moments, along with the entire experience being gut-clenching. And that's just for the main four, you've also got the Minireenas, Bidybabs, and fucking Ennard the tentacle clown. And now they all talk, which means they can taunt and trick and spook you with more than just ambiance.

Huh, that's kinda cool looking. What's the rest of the body look like?

Well...

Okay, it's a lot less cool now.

>Ennard starts talking in Phone Guy's voice >Scott does something with all those dead guards or the animatronic heads mentioned in FNAF 1
>Scott brings in Lovecraftian themes somehow
>>
>>155270061
Oy, again with the Lovecrafting. Can we just have creepy, kooky, mysterious, spooky, and altogether ooky?
>>
>>155270136
It's not as mysterious when it's always ghost kids, though.

When in recent memory has anybody done "Lovecraftian" shit really right? Bloodborne sort of did, putting the imagery to great use, but it still had the power fantasy of actually being able to kill the abstract beings.

It's a difficult style to do in visual media. Instead of the viewer using their imaginations you need to have a concrete form of the creepiness, which means that a lot of people aren't going to like what you've made. It's like the monster in a lot of old horror/sci-fi movies, if you only get glimpses and hints it's scary but as soon as it stumbles into the light it becomes silly.
