It's the 16th, so it's past time for another update on Alcoholic Animatronics. This was scheduled for yesterday, but was postponed to the new thread.

First things first, we were paying attention to the comments made last time, particularly regarding a lack of characterization in Bombay's bots. I understand very well why it is people feel that way; even having been working with Bombay on the game for a while now, I'm still not too sure on some of the characterizations myself! A lot of this seems to stem from the fact that the initial progress on the game was focused on art, so there hasn't been a lot of character development done so far that I've seen. That's the reason we're focusing on the characters first this time around, as they truly are the driving force behind the game. That being said, the way things are right now, there isn't likely to be too much characterization to see outside of the game itself. The game is a fairly large undertaking; especially so for Bombay, who is in charge of both the art and the writing (the two biggest aspects of the game). As a result, he prefers to focus his efforts on the game itself rather than any side material.

With that out of the way, on to progress. A number of the character bios have been finished, including all of the OG bots, which will make it easier to start writing scripts involving those characters. There are still a few of the toy bots that haven't been fully developed yet, and their bios are still in the works. The character designs are also in the process of being revised, and many of the early character portraits that were posted in the thread are now obsolete. Finally, there has also been some preliminary animation work started as well (see the Booru for a WIP sample).

That's all I've got for now. Since the work right now is focused mostly on writing, bimonthly updates as originally planned is probably too many. For now, I'm going to plan to post the next update in 1 month, on October 15.

He draws the same bodies over and over and alternates between slutty heads vaguely reminiscent of Freddy characters. When politely told that nobody cares for his generic slutbots because they have no personality (like every other OC here) his preferred course of action was to give them "stat bars" that meant absolutely fucking nothing because these traits were never shown. His characters don't actually do anything other than look slutty, they lack a personality, they look pretty much the same and they aren't even designed or colored well.

I can use all ten of my fingers naming OCfags from this thread who make better characters than Bombay and I don't even mind saying all this because it's painfully obvious he has no interest in changing or taking criticism. I doubt he even can, considering his brain is pickled in cheap vodka.

Technically he's got a personality set up for each and every one of them, but from what little he's shown the feedback has mostly been negative.

A lot of people assume Dust Bunny is just slice of life and isn't worth investigating, but that's where I hide the most meat of the Ghostverse. I won't overextend myself here since people hate when I give it away too easy, but if you really are interested in solving a mystery: Someone had an appointment with her father at the police station in Dust Bunny, once you've digested that and a flashback in the same story at the top of a hill, reread Inside My Shoes and see what you can piece together.

Eh, not quite.

Everything happens in the form of episodes in these dreams.

First dream is about trying to solve the problem of musclebirb's night programming and PTSD via simulation. Wiping out her memory was the initial solution, but rejected for numerous reasons, the most important being that doing so would make her a blank slate like all the other mass produced bots. Pondering a solution, the guy is overheard by some man working for a rival company of PRC. The gentleman says that one solution to have the cupcake and eat it too would be to reprogram or overwrite certain aspects of her memory and data via hacking, but to accomplish that would require internal knowledge kept by the higher up engineers of PRC or presumably TC herself. From there, the shady man simply introduces himself as a friend that might be able to help a man that's in love with a chicken and the scene ends there.

Second dream tried to piece everything together with explanations and limited knowledge. Old Freddy apparently being the leader of an intelligence agency that specializes in corporate espionage. Fazbear Pizza and the nightclub empire being business fronts designed to launder money for the underground intelligence agency. Said agency being PRC's true rival, but ironically funding the agency due to PRC being the majority owners of FbP. FbP using the acquired assets of PRC to further their own agenda from corporate funding to the data acquired from the simulations. Dream also introduced the more prominent members of the organization: Bonnie, Foxy, Balloon Boy, the man in the chicken mask, and the anon that's in love with a chicken. Bonnie and Foxy are the equivalent of Bond and Snake respectively, Balloon Boy functioning as Q, the man in the chicken mask working as a flirt that nearly succeeded in gathering intel from TC by infiltrating her one weakness her heart, and anon who functions as a field agent in close relations with the birb.

Musclebirb's a huge deal to the organization because she is TC's "sister", and could possibly house invaluable data to rival businesses, including secrets pertaining to future projects TC has in mind. TC being the business leader she is, is a closely guarded individual when outside the PRC building in that she not only has private bodyguards and her sister protecting her, but even has a body double available, is strong as fuck and apparently is a damn good fighter despite her appearance, similar to Armstrong from MGR. The bots that are under Freddy's deployment use PRC's shells, but not their programming, which is apparently done to avoid tracking.

Third dream played out one of the missions, with either anon being held captive and interrogated by the PRC in an undisclosed hangar. The guy's about to be tortured for answers, but is interrupted by a jet entering in the hangar bay. Anon uses that distraction to activate a flash grenade on himself, blinding the captors and giving him time to break free and escape by diving out into the ocean. The men think he was pretty much trying to kill himself given that they're in the middle of the ocean, only to see that anon had actually flown away via jet shoes. A moment later, anon flies over and lands on an emerging submarine that belongs to the agency that Freddy runs, to report to Freddy whose face has yet to be seen what he's seen.

So yeah. That's the surface of what I've seen. Yeah I know, autism and all that.

IMO 2's characters, story, and atmosphere make up for the shitty gameplay. 4 and TSE are the only FNAF entries which are objectively awful. A case could be made for World being redeemable in some fashion but I find that game to be thoroughly unenjoyable as well.

I enjoyed all aspects of 2. I liked the characters, I liked the gameplay. I enjoyed the micromanagement of a million robots. My biggest problem with it is how you sometimes just get locked out of playing the game by rng and are forced to watch as you die.

I think 1 was the best from an objective standpoint. 2 is my favourite though.
