I understand why Goro had to die,he was just like the MC in that he was a wildcard, but he couldn't make bonds which lead to jealously of MC. He was willing to kill out of jealousy, actually did kill, and went too far into the deep end before he could find redemption.


I like his character but I have no problems with him being killed by the one person he tried so hard to get attention from.

For what it's worth P3FES came out only 9 months after the original P3, and if you go through the assets you can see some Answer assets were being made months before P3 even came out. If they released a DLC/expansion for $10-20 by next September that properly pads out January and February and actually resolves the Goro arc in a satisfying way, would you buy it? Would you consider it valid to see that as the definitive version of the game like Nocturne Maniax is?

Now that we know about everything about Goro, I feel kinda bummed out, like I don't even care to watch the end of the stream anymore

Goro really was the best part of the game imo, I felt disappointed when he turned out to be a villain, then enjoyed him for all his worth, but then his death really put a damper on the excitement

Dialogue options seem pretty geared towards Akira telling people off or leading when someone is anxious. Obviously if you don't do the co-ops he's a sad loner but he can romance no less than 4 adult women (up until now impossible except the nurse in P4 which didn't actually end in romance), a former Yakuza (Munehisa Iwai), Jigen 'Coffee Dad' Sojiro, and defeats Japanese Senator Armstrong and Persona Light Yagami all in a single year. If he takes down Yaldabaoth in the ending that's just icing really.

Where are you getting that the game keeps going after December ? In the stream we clearly saw Tofu trying to exit the final dungeon only to get limited to going at the weapons or item shop, exactly like the final dungeon in P4. We also saw Justine healing the party at the entrance, because you can't leave the dungeon as December 24th is the last playable day. After that the game fast-forward until Valentine's event and then fast-forward again to the ending.

I think it's fair to say that guns don't mean much in the early game because they're not very powerful and the ammo capacity is really limited (Ryuji gets like 3 volleys in one dungeon trip), but after reaching Futaba's dungeon I've found them to be getting better, a nice damage tool when you don't want to use HP or are out of SP. You can attack sometimes up to 10 times in a volley, so it has a good chance of critting if you don't have an enemy weakness too.

If you go throw the gun-related co-ops by the end I imagine they'll be pretty rockin'.

I still think Sojiro could have been the big bad, and Makoto the traitor. Their personalities would have fit those roles

Sojiro clearly has an antagonistic side that is shown even in his trailers, basically representing the opposite of what the Phantom Thieves fight for.

As for Makoto, she could have had the exact same role as Goro and (almost) nothing would have changed. Her connection to Sae is a big help, and Shidou could have been their fathers, thus leading to the daddy issues

I know it's boring but I would have been extremely satisfied with Goro being just an ambitious, justice-driven detective being taken by the Phantom thieves a bit reluctantly, then warming up to them once he realizes they are fighting for justice in their own way
