They were released well before NT grinding became a thing and remain OT now.

You'll either need a second Austere to get it to 60 element, or I guess you can dump a bunch of other 13* katanas you have lying around too, but that's only +1 element each without prohibitively expensive booster items

Grind skips will work, but remember that with OT once you unlock or level up the potential at +10 it will reset to +0 and you'll have to do it all over again

Low effort, high reward, and people are a lot more open about it these days so it doesn't carry such a stigma like back in the day. I did some rough numbers while bored. All of this is comparing damage (crits only) from various trailers so they could be wrong. I've been somewhat close a bunch of times that I've done it privately but there has also been times where I've messed up majorly so take this with a grain of salt. Basing things off of the trailers is mostly stupid since you don't really know what they're using or it might be an old version.

Sacrifice Bite Type-0's PA value is roughly 1142 w/ a 20PP cost (unknown craft merit amount, streams have had them at max though) and it boosts the damage of normal attacks by at least x2.5~x3, it also boosts the radius of normal attacks by quite a large amount. The trailer also shows Ash performing a completely different Sword step attack right after using it so it could be tied to it or it could be an unannounced change that they've added.

It's unknown whether or not you lose the bonus PA damage that SacBite currently gives or the ability to grab mobs. It's a very good craft if the PA damage is still there because the garbage regen and damage from normal attacks for how long they take is one of the biggest problems that Sword has currently. 728DPS without SacBite's bonus. Hu/Br might not be so bad for Sword but there's still the issue with losing a ton of modifiers from /Fi.

Straight Charge Type-0 has a PA value of around 181 per tick. PP cost is 20PP and a 15PP/s drain when you hold it down. Didn't see anything different compared to the current version other than it moving a little slower because you can't charge it. Hits roughly once every 5-7F with almost no startup. 1551DPS for 7F, 1810DPS for 6F, 2172DPS for 5F. Probably isn't 5F because that DPS is too high and even 6F feels too high so it might be 7F. Would be silly to see Knuckle hold the PA button down and do roughly the same amount as BHS while being way more efficient as well.

I use Straight Charge a lot right now so I will be kinda sad that I have to replace it with something else.
