Almost always, the EQ chip is trash and actually a liability to anybody who's using it. This was especially the case with the noire draal eq chip, which was completely worthless.

DBs -can- be fairly effective, but mostly by spamming photon blade fever, or derpmobbing weak shit with disperse shrike. but they're meant to go with break stance, which doesn't help most of the time. breakstance DB bonus doesn't give enough of the stance's effect on non-breakables to really solve problems; elemental stance is weaker but better in that it doesn't need an uncommon condition to work, but to use it with anything but JBs or wands with the ele change ring (which sucks because it changes on zondeel and zanverse which you need to be using which means wasting time fixing your element etc) you have to go through the expense of upgrading and affixing six of whatever you want to use instead of just one, while boots change element whenever you charge a tech besides res/anti/shift/deban, so you never, ever need more than one of any jetboot to use elemental stance to it's fullest. considering that grinding and affixing 13*s is a multimillion meseta moneysink... if you're not whaling and scamming people on the market, it's just too much of an expense to be justified as something you end up having to do six times whenever sega spits out a new weapon that's actually better than what you had.

More like by far the highest burst damage in the game on a short CD. Not even compounds can be compared to CT.

You have a point though, a lot of X/Gu combos are even stronger, but that doesn't stop Gu/Ra from being stronger for bossing than anything not /Gu, assuming you have a proper Gu party of course.

Yes, you'll be using a bow for the Banish + 2x Kamikaze combo. You lose out on some katana gear stuff and flat attack but honestly it's not that much. You lose out on the Katana gear boost.

This is what I have for my hybrid tree. Rapid shoot is nice because of the increased damage and reduced charge time, you keep everything for Katana combat and you have the most important parts of Average stance. Quickmate is there so you don't have to pick up Automate on your hunter tree. Snatch step skills are too good to leave. As for the Hunter tree; Fury stance stuff is covered, Massive hunter fixes the problem of getting hit and fucking up your banish combo (I found it to be incredibly useful for Anga farming), Warcry is good for when you're doing a TD4 or something. You'll have one point left in the tree so you can pick up healing guard if you want it or put it into Never Give Up for 7 seconds of invincibility if Iron Skill procs. I go with HG since Iron skill has a chance at procing while HG is whenever you perform a just guard / parry / whatever.
